Really isn't. If you grew up with it awesome, if you didn't there's no real need to go out of your way to watch it.

watch original first youll understand the story and powerscales!!! we dont want another wanker thinking that madara could take on ssj goku. because teen goku stomps easily with nuclear explosion durability and casual moon busting powers.

Dbz is awesome. You should watch dbz from beginnjng to end. Its to your option to watch dbgt or not. Though it isnt that emotional, sometimes there are some moment. I started my anime watch from dbz.

I suggest watching the dub as the voices chosen for the sub's main characters can get rather annoying extremely fast, particularly Goku's voice.

the dub is a thousand times worse and more embarassingly annoying
