Oh and to all those who think being a homosexual is a choice, well I can tell you that it isn't, I've always been gay! And i am proud to be gay!

Good for you. Though I don't see the need for you to shout it. I don't go around the streets yelling that I'm straight.
And if the sole purpose of this thread is record every gay or bisexual person in NB, then it's a really suckish thread.

I couldn't resist to post here, but in my opinion being a homosexual is caused by your childhood and environments ( don't know if it's correct word ) around you much like morality. Being homosexual has completely been twisted by few religions that just don't like having ( after all, people are afraid of unknown and new ) that kind of people amongst us. I personally know gay people and they're not so different from us.

I study molecular biology, from what I have learned, I am conviced that being gay is not a choice. But I cannot conclude it is, or not, because I am not gay myself.

I think its a combination of genetics and hormonal activity/influence. So I think those that are gay, are born like that, and cannot be turned into straight people.

I respect all kinds of people, and I hope that kind of respect will dominate the future evolution of humans.

I respect everyones right to express themselves as they please. Gays are like everyone else: they can be respectable people, they can be intellectuals or idiots, they can be athletes or slobs, they can be best friends and they can be jerks. There's no reason to discriminate at all because gays and straights both have every extreme.

If it's not a choice to be gay I guess it can't be helped but I would be angry if it was a choice. So far there has been no proof weather being gay/lesbian is a choice or not. But it's my opinion that it's wrong and honestly if I was gay I wouldn't be able to live with myself knowing this but thank God I'm straight. I respect people but I think people don't respect themselves (if choice)

I live in a christian family and they believe from what the bible says (don't know where) that being gay is a sin but my uncle is gay and they don't say anything about it. I personaly don't understand why in the bible homosexuality is a sin but as you all say it's not a choice, you're just born that way. I don't think any homosexual should be jugded because of their preference because it's not their fault. The heart wants what the heart wants and you can't change that.

So you said you think it's a choice and then you gave arguments that it isn't. I think you're confused. For as far as I'm concerned, you don't choose who you have "feelings" for. The only choice you can make is whether or not you act upon those feelings/attraction.



I don't see how both are related. I didn't read the bible, so if you can provide me with the passage where it says"Homossexuality is a sin", I'd be most appreciated.

There are nuclei in the brain that seem to differ in men who are straight and gay, though I'm not sure if anyone has been bold enough to say "fact".

In sheep however, 10% of the population is strictly homosexual and this is due to a difference in brain structure. A certain nucleus in the brain of homosexual sheep is smaller in size than that of the heterosexual males. Similar findings have been seen in humans. This difference however isn't inheritable, as for obvious reasons if it was genetic the genes wouldn't get passed on. It seems to be due to environmental factors that impact the development of the brain.

Theres really no reason to think humans would be any different. We're much more animalistic in both behavior and physiology than we would like the think.
