I was just wondering how people feel about math as a whole? I am having a lot of issues with my College Stats course and would love to hear how others think. Whether or not a good amount of people enjoy it or not as well ranging from elementary math-college levels and beyond that

That being said, I would also appreciate if anyone could help me a little bit with one or two things.

Problems:

1. The scores of an exam are normally distributed with a mean and standard deviation of 810 and 110 respectively. Find the score you would need to achieve to place in the top 10%

2. For a medical study, a researcher wishes to select people in the middle 44% of the population based on blood pressure. Assume the mean systolic blood pressure is 110 and the standard deviation is 8. Assume also that this variable is normally distributed. Find the upper and lower limits that would qualify people for the study

I'll only use math, if it's necessary. And you could have at least posted whatever you needed help with, so someone could assist you on the spot. Who's private with math?Lmao.

Also, don't slave drive yourself for college, if you aren't confident it's actually gonna get you some where. People like going to college just to have something to do...you need to actually have a goal or point of interest. Know what you're doing, don't appropriate culture.

I recall going to one of those "All talk" colleges and trade schools. Ended up with nothing...school systems are too closed-minded.

Teachers aren't needed in high-school or college, really, students just need the books. No one should have to "Teach" you, at that point. Teachers should just write instructions, and make sure people are focused(supervise). Teaching is attention-seeking.Anything overly difficult you briefly explain on the board, no interference outside of that.

Think about it, are you gonna go through out adulthood asking for someone to explain something that's written in a book? And if you have a learning disability, you're doomed in life, in general.Otherwise, with all the technology we have today, you can make it work. And if you're ambition-less, that's on you.

Kids must learn how to use their own brains and perception, first.Everything else comes last/after.

While some of what you are saying is accurate, the fact is that at this day and age you are actively required to have a college degree to be considered for just about anything. I dont really need math, nor do i enjoy it but its required at my school to pass this class and ive tried tons of different websites. If you happen to know a better one that would be awesome.

That being said, i do agree that teachers just kind of make things harder at a certain point, Young children i think do need that guidance however up until maybe high school or even college when people start to mature as they should

Children aren't responsible enough to sit there and read what's in a book, so that's a given. They're easily distracted and need to be taught. It's as simple as that...however, you still have misguided, attention seeking teachers out there.

Point is, know what you're doing, and know why you're doing it...don't just "do it" for no real reason. And you need a "specific" degree to get a "specific" job. On top of that, a lot of them request experience. So you'll also notice that, as well...just a heads up. And sometimes a degree and some experience, is still not enough, especially if the employer shows prejudice. So, all of those things you must take into consideration.

Been to college before.
