Iron in essence is an advanced use or the magnetism kg. The user uses magnetic fields to control iron shavings which do to their size resemble sand. Iron sand itself doesn't have an inherent weakness an this when clasping with other elements plays on equal terms. However, due to the magnetic aspect electrical field can disrupt the users control over the sand. Know users as of now are the 3rd kazekage, sasori via the 3rd kazekage puppet, and Shinki Gaara's adoptive son.

Also, Sasori was able to drench his Iron Sand in his specialty poison so I would assume it wouldn't be too much of a reach to say you can do the same.

Doesn't say you have to use hand signs so I assume you can use with just your chakra alone. A pretty useful technique because it can be released from your possession or the ground nearby. I'm specifically focusing on the ground nearby part which could make it potentially dangerous in short-range.

Analyze and ask questions.

Seems pretty simple I'd use my chakra to manipulate and shape my IS into senbon that I launch at my target(s). Also, like you said having IS on the ground or in the air would benefit me as the senbon can be launched from any direction thus allowing me to surprise my enemy with a multi-directional attack versus just a straight forward one.

Another technique that does require hand seals, and can also appear anywhere around you. Can basically be any type of shield.

Another good technique that requires no hand seals. Basically allows you to summon forth a defense almost instantly from the ground or your iron sand collection. Can also be used to attack an opponent in short-range from several angles and can be especially useful since you can just cause them to erupt suddenly.

Another technique that does not require any hand seals. Basically allows you to quickly summon forth a wall of iron sand and stab someone. Especially useful against taijutsu opponents.

Both of these remind me of when Gaara fought Sasuke in the chunin exams using the sand as a defense then manipulating sections of it to form spikes and attack. The only variation I see between these two is that one 360 defense while the other is a singular wall that faces one direction; essentially a defense/counter for multiple opponents and one for a singular opponent.

No hand seals once again. If the opponent is within short-range you can cause a spike to appear anywhere around the opponent making it good for stealth attacks.

Description: By manipulating their iron sand the user releases iron sand around them and creates a large dome that protects them from incoming techniques.

Another techniques that does not require any hand seals, therefore it can be summoned pretty fast. Basically by focusing your chakra around you a dome of iron sand can be called forth.

1st) I feel the value in this even though it can reach long range would be utilizing it like you said. Reason being having it hurled at an opponent they would see it coming and would have time to counter vs they/you enter short-range and either hit them during their attack or during your attack. I see it complimenting tai very well.

2nd) Definitely Gaara's ultimate defense during the chunin exams minus the spikes.

No hand seals. Can be used from iron sand in your possession for the ground. Can be pretty convenient since it be created anywhere within short-range.

Description: This technique concentrates a mass amount of iron sand in the air that then transforms into a singular large spike that races down to the surface and towards the desired target.

Chakra and Rank on this technique is pretty weird. I'll ask a mod to look into it, but this is pretty nice. This techniques requires no hand seals and is one of the few that can be used to attack targets up to mid-range away.

Description: The user unleashes numerous devastating spikes of iron sand from underneath the area of the target and protrude out of the ground.

Pretty nice technique can be used by you simply infusing your chakra into the ground. You can use this pretty conveniently an stealth like since it requires no hand seals so it can be summoned forth pretty fast. Can pretty much erupt anywhere around the opponent who is up to mid-range away.

1st) You manipulate and shape your sand into a hammer that drops onto the enemy kinda similar to some doton/suiton techniques usage wise.

2nd) You're essentially impaling an opponent from above. Similar to the previous jutsu but a spike instead of a hammer and greater range.

3rd) You go full Vlad the Impaler on a target skewering them from below with spikes.

Nice S-rank technique that requires no hand seals and you can basically cause iron sand to erupt anywhere and crush the target. I want you to know that this technique can be used to counter of jutsu of appropriate rank. What I mean by this is that you can use the iron sand to surround the attack and reduce it to nothing. Pretty nice way to deal with some attacks.

It's not that I'm not going to analyze I feel that the description you gave pretty much sum'd it up and that there was nothing for me to add. If anything it reminds me of gaara's sand coffin requiring the opponent to use at least an s ranked attack to not get caught or break free

Description: This technique creates 2 gigantic iron spheres of sand with opposing polarities and collides them together in order to merge and cause the magnetic forces to instantly increase and repel each other. The mass of iron sand then scatters across the entire field, branching out in spikes of irregular patterns which makes evading them almost impossible. The iron sand blocks any escape routes and makes it hard for the opponent to clearly view the user and also serves as a medium for other iron sand techniques.

Note: Can only be used by Third Kazekage and custom Iron Sand bios, twice per event.

Here we have an F-rank with no hand seals (wew). One of the few iron sand techniques to really display iron sand's magnetic nature. By essentially creating two constructs of iron sand and by manipulating them to repel each other you can cause a wide scale attack of spikes to branch off of the constructs. This attack covers a wide range making it near impossible to evade. This technique is also useful because it litters the field with iron sand making it a good way to spread your iron sand throughout the field for you to use at a later time.

I personally would use this as an opener in a fight forces the opponent to either expend a large an=mount of chakra in the beginning of the match or get hit or waste a move evading which in any case can be quickly followed up with a swift attack next turn as most of or all of these jutsu require zero hand seals.
