Ahh the Navy never ceases to amaze me. Long as It's a dolphin being blown up instead of a ship with 30k people on it. But they say Dolphins are smart??

The dolphins don't get blown up, the detect the mines and mark them so the Navy can get rid of them safely.
ahhh how can u say that poor dolphins r so gr8 better than humans when it comes to family n all jeez![]()
Wow duly noted. In some situations it could happen, Mistakes can be made you know, I'm sure not all of them will survive one or a few will end up dying.
Matter of opinion. I would rather see a dolphin dead than hundreds of people on a ship. That's speaking in a what if situation.

Very true, the article points out that the dolphins are big enough to set off the mines and that its a real threat. It also brings up that enemy combatants may start indiscriminately killing off dolphin populations just to be safe.
Seems like a double edged sword.
