Inu no Taishō wears a white kimono and hakama, armored boots, and a long flowing sash, with the latter two suggestive of Chinese influence. He also wears breastplates, with a spiked rim, with the addition of Chinese vambraces and armored gauntlets, as well as layered spiked pauldron on each shoulder. He wears a parted pelt that extends from both shoulders and trails behind him as he walks; representing the two streaks of fur running down the back of his transformed dog form. His white hair is only seen in a very high ponytail. The Tessaiga and Tenseiga are worn at his waist, while the Sō'unga is worn across his back.

Personality
Being the leader of the Inuzuka Clan, Inu no Taishō puts his clan as his primary concern. It is only second to the welfare of his two sons, Inuyasha and Sesshomaru. Inu no Taishō is also usually in a calm state. On top of that, he is a wise man using the knowledge he has acquired from his travels. Normally he is a merciful warrior who does not wish to strike down the weaker. Battles with worthy opponents can bring his potent Inuzuka blood to a boil though. Life or death battles turn The Dog General into a more savage and blood lustful beast while still retaining his intelligence.

Background Info
Inu no Taishō, being part of the inuzuka clan, was born and raised in konoha. His father was the leader of the clan. Tsumemaru, Inu no Taishō's personal ninken, was born the same day from Inu no Taishō's parents ninken. Their bond was said to be destined. Because he was the son of the leader of the clan, a lot of pressure was placed on Inu no Taisho to be great. Growing up he struggled with the pressure. Despite allegedly being destined, his bond with his ninken didn't come easy. He barely passed the different promotion exams of his ninja career. Inu no Taisho was regarded a failure of a ninja.
In his teen years, Inu no Taisho set out to explore the Land of the Fire with only Tsumemaru. In his journey he made enemies, rivals, and the alike. His path was tough. Sometimes he went days and even weeks without food and water. The struggle pushed them both to their limits. Years later Inu no Taisho's mind, body, and spirit developed as did Tsumemaru's and their bond. He took care of his two sons who he had by two different women too. Along the way he created the Swords of Earth, Heaven, and Hell.
While still on his travels, Inu no Taisho heard rumors of a 3rd Great Ninja War. He returned to his village. The maturity of his skills and power could be told just from his appearance. He instantly gained the respect he longed for. The rumors were later confirmed to be true. All was not well though. Inu no Taisho's father was killed in the war. His father never got to witness the fruits of Inu no Taisho's labor; his transformation into a man. His clan was in need of leadership. Being his son, Inu no Taisho stepped up. Although he had everybody's respect, they were still wary of his leadership skills so the clan remained leaderless. Still for battle purposes, Lord Hiruzen appointed Inu no Taisho into many leadership position as he kept proving himself. In many battles he lead his clan and village to victory. Along with legends like the Copy Ninja Kakashi Hatake and the Sannin, Inu no Taisho became a war legend. Due to his skills and leadership in battle, he gained the title of The Dog General.

Tsumemaru
Tsumemaru is a male dog the same size as current Akumaru. He speaks through barking. However after spending time with Inu No Taisho in solitude for many years, Inu no Taisho can understand Tsumemaru's barking as if he was speaking English. Tsumemaru is strong enough to allow Inu No Taisho to ride him and can travel a similar speeds as him.

Tessaiga: Also known as the Sword of Earth, the Tessaiga was created from the fang of the Inu no Taishō. He created it to protect Izayoi, Inuyasha's mother. Inu no Taisho was said to be capable of destroying one hundred ninja with a single stroke of the sword.
Tensaiga

Also called the Sword of Heaven, the Tenseiga was created from the fang of the Inu no Taishō. It gained this name because Inu no Taisho used to to slay good ninjas who opposed him or his village because it was their job as a ninja.
Sō'unga

Sō’unga (叢雲牙, "Amassing Cloud Fang") is a demon sword. It is the opposite of the Tenseiga, "the sword of life or heaven," as Sō'unga is considered "the sword of death or hell." Inu no Taisho used this sword primarily to slay the evil and wicked.
