Internet is too influental

Internet is so influental thing, most for teenagers. Cause they're finding themselves, they choose what ever way u throw them to the feet. There's a good one and the bad one.

One friend of mine(really not me) is so influenten by friends from the net. One of his friends have written him that he has depresion and the place effect was that hes acting like he has one and he believe he has one. He even pleased his parrents for anti-depresions. I mean, internet really is bad for kids in that age.

Yes internet is a bad thing for younger ppl they should be out play with real friends. Because some are so easily influenced.

Yeah, cause it endet with sitting behind the pc all the time. I was like that, but I get through it and I have less time for internet. But some people I know are behind the pc all the day and I mean all of the day!

mh you say internet is bad for people who are easily influenced and naive, trustful etc. and they should play with real people cuz they CANNOT influence a person who is easily influenced etc.?
as a matter of fact internet COULD influence people a lot, but thats not a thing the internet itself does but the people in the internet. it is also a matter of the person that is being influenced. also you should not only have friends in the internet but in the "real life" too, so they can warn you etc.

I would point the finger not at the internet but parents who, well dont parent and just throw kids on games the internet as a way to just not have to deal with there kids, if they were to take the time to not only help build up a lil knowlege befor they let there kids on the internet you would see a lot less of this happening.

There is a fine line between influence and enlightenment. Maybe your friend actually has a problem with clinical depression. It's more common than you'd think. He may also have legitimate personal problems. These things are easy to hide.

Your friend's parents will sort this out. Just be supportive.

Yeah, this was the thing, people are the bad influence on the internet which use internet as a tool, it's like the sentence "Weapon doesn't kill people, but people do", Yeah but also is better to teach them about warnings educate, to be first a bit more aknowledged about it and then start with it. Yeah, I'm trying to be supportive, but it's hard. He doesn't listen to me.

Hmm...the internet is not a bad thing,yea you can be badly influenced by it but it's also an almost unlimited source of knowledge and entertainment
