I know Nejis death resulted in Rock Lee getting his badass war moment. But come on. It could have been anyone else.

Shikaku and Inoichi(idk) died. So why couldnt Hinatas dad go to atone for his lil bros death. I understand Neji has a charachter relationship with Naruto, but was that sacrifice worth it?


A number of useless people could have kicked the bucket for Naruto. Iruka, Sai, Sirius Black etc.

I think personally, Neji could have put up an excellent fight against Juubito alongside Naruto. Sealed juubitos chakra points. No TSB or TBB.

Neji's death was so random that it could have happened to anyone else besides him, that time. I'm not sure about the latter tho. Neji doesn't have the speed and reaction time to seal Juubito's chakra points. He would definitely need a lot of assistance.

Every character has room for development. Neji still had some growing to do. His main plotline was over, but he still had some interesting things that could've been done with him. Fight with Lee. Kid with Ten-ten. Possible Byakugan upgrade. Yada yada

Every character has room for development. Neji still had some growing to do. His main plotline was over, but he still had some interesting things that could've been done with him. Fight with Lee. Kid with Ten-ten. Possible Byakugan upgrade. Yada yada

But by killing him off Kishi gave room for other character to develop like Naruto and Hinata. Plus the war had been absolute trash with no one important dying. If almost the entire ninja army had been wiped out and not a single side character had been killed off it would be disappointing. While it may be sad to see him leave, it had to happen.

I understand where you're coming from. But note, 3 side characters were casualties of the juubi before Neji. And I accept Nejis death, I just think it should have been another do to the possibilities of Nejis growth.

The most talented Hyuuga and arguably strongest of the Konoha 11 (excluding Nardo and Sauce).
