You dont need to constantly stare at Itachis eyes to stay in his Tsukuyomi. 1 Glance at the moon and youre trapped. Whether its visible or not. Some will just go under the Tsukuyomi later in other parts of the world.

Once ur in ur gonna be connected to the God tree.

hey, have you forgotten that madara controls gravity, who knows. he could hold the moon in place and prevent it from rotating..afterall, the rinnegan was used to create the moon
EDIT : HE COULD EVEN INCREASE THE SPEED AT WHICH THE MOON REVOLVES ROUND THE EARTH
