This is naruto. The story revolves around him, he chooses to follow light path no matter what, simple yet unique. Ashura and his descendants always sought peace with co-operation while Indra and his descendants had their own view of peace, a peace which is achieved through power like IT. Hatred and peace cannot exist together, one has to be abolished in order to gain another. People interpret Yin-Yang in wrong way all the time. Yin-Yang are not actually two separate entities, they are one in reality, which is called life. They can only be separated by force but they remain as one single entity until they are separated, ex: Indra and Ashura, one represents Yin and other Yang but they were one single entity prior to that which is hagoromo. Naruto realises that the combination of co-operation and power both is the way to create peace which is Yin-Yang, he knows by merging two seperated parts of peace an even greater peace can be found, that's why he's trying to drag sasuke back into good side. Imagine sasuke and naruto both standing in the same side, naruto's co-operative mentality which is backed by sasuke's power, resulting in ultimate peace. For this to happen, sasuke should accept that without co-operation, power will fail. Yin cannot win without Yang.
