He just meant that Ashura had comrades while indra didn't , so i think Ashura was alone fighting Indra

You may be right.
But why would Ashura need cooperation and love to match his brother's power, if he killed Indra alone?
I like the idea that Ashura got help from his friends, and during the fight, their feelings of comerades cooperating ( a central theme of the manga) made bloom the true nature of Ninshuu inside Ashura, "the power of love could make anything come true".
