Ichigo has been missing for ages, Uryu has been gone for a while, Komamura hasn't been seen since he performed the Human Transformation technique and defeated that Sternritter, Mayuri hasn't been seen for a little while either (could be wrong on this one) and Renji has been gone ever since he defeated Mask. Your perception of balanced character screen-time must be stupid.

I agree with you, that Bleach's war arc is better (in my opinion) but not all of the reasons you give in your post are true.
