In My Opinion, Hinata Should Have Been Killed In The Pain Arc

Not hating on Hinata or anything she's great, but when I watched Pain seemingly kill her and then see Naruto go ape sh*t because of her death, that was one of the greatest moments I've seen in the Naruto anime (I watched before I read).

Then seeing that she survived from a chakra rod to the chest literally destroyed that moment and I felt that was really, really cheap.

Just like when
Mako DIDN'T die at the end of LOK. That was total bull. Not AS cheap though.

If she died, I would have liked Hinata SO MUCH MORE. Because despite her shyness, when it mattered most, she sacrificed herself to try and protect Naruto in order to awaken a new power inside of him.

PLUS, not to mention she FINALLY confessed her love to Naruto and having her die after such a groundbreaking moment would have been the most epic, tragic thing ever.

I know even if she died, that she would have been revived by Rinne Rebirth, but the fact that Kishi had that rebirth jutsu in place, and she didn't even need it, and he could have just killed her off to make it awesome only to be revived (just like kakashi) makes absolutely no sense to me.

(then again all those characters getting revived was a cheap out of its own, but that's a discussion for another time)

Again, I'm not hating on Hinata, It's just my opinion.

She only survived so Kishi could draw her melons out in the open.

If Hinata died Naruto would not have a wife. So no thank you.

Indeed. He should have made the time skip 50 years though, since then Hinata's "melons" would have become "onions".

He was preparing Naruto to forgive and understand Nagato. He thought that would be too much i guess. It would've been good to in my opinion, he already killed Naruto's two senseis. Hinata's death wouldn't made the forgiving decision any harder than it already was.

Good point. I guess Naruto THOUGHT she was dead, so from his standpoint as a character, it makes no difference. But to the viewer, realizing she didn't even need the rinne rebirth to survive was... surprising.

If Hinata was stabbed right in the heart, even Sakura wouldn't be able to save her.

True but its just another example of why Naruhina fans should praise Sakura.
