I've seen tons and tons of threads in which people who do not understand the full extent of Minato's power say that he gets beaten by Nagato but it's false on all accounts.
Before we go any further, this is Alive Minato with possible SM, heck Imma only use Alive Minato to prove my point and Nagato is Mobile Nagato with no paths U_U Also for the sake of Argument both shinobis have full intel on each other, otherwise Nagato gets Shunshin killed Neg Diff U_U
I'm going to list Nagato's abilities and how Minato counters each and every single one of them.
List of Nagato's Abilites that he uses in battle:

It's Minato that decides who or what to teleport even if some is grabbing him or the one's he wants to teleport. In other words nothing can confine Minato, nothing at all U_U

As you can see, all of the abilities Minato used so far are something that the Preta Path can't absorb Lol [Rasengan was used as a final blow but a Kunai to throat works in all those cases as well U_U]

Each and every thing from Nagato's arsenal gets shat on by Hiraishin and it's variants to which Nagato has absolutely no counter. People only think that Nagato ST's the FTG Kunai and it's done Lol but the reality is far from it. They forget that Minato keeps many Kuanis with himself [on himself]. Also Nagato has zero Long Range attacks that could work on Minato, to harm Minato in any way he needs to close in and that's where Minato beats him at his own game because Minato is the greatest close combat shinobi bar [Juubi Jins, 8th gate Gai and Rikudou Naruto] on par with Rinnegan Obito!!
