Let's face it, Half of the people on this website are not even an influential person in their community let alone the world, they are just a bunch of fcking weeaboos.

You should have left your comment at "let alone the world". And the last part says more about you than it says about them

I honestly don't want to be immortalized. When I go I want to drift into the shadows and fade away from history.

Fortunately, remembrance fades away too

I'll have you known that I'm a member of several prestigious lists in my community.

I'm such a big deal that people will notify the authorities of my presence when at a school, park, youth sporting event, or YMCA.

Is immortality in that form even something worth pursuing?

nop, einstein couldn't care less about relativity, Bach doesn't give a shit about music anymore, because they simply don't exist anymore, they don't feel anymore, not conscious, we only know their work because we use it but we don't even know the person, her fears, love, etc.
humanity by work is absurd, just poetry, good looking words with no logic backing it up.

but if Bach gets resurected, and sees how people heared his music for centuries, or if Newton gets resurected and sees that Einstein used his work. They will surely have one hell of a feeling. they will feel immortality.

I'm pretty sure the OP was talking about being immortalized in the eyes of others. Even if one cannot reflect on the impact they made they are still immortalized in what they're left behind. Their body may be no more, but their existence remains acknowledged. This is what OP was talking about.

growing up I aspired a family of my descendants having my name. Working on breakthrough scientific work etc but as now I am more grown I want none of that. A humble middle class life for myself and my descendants would be more than enough.
