Well, our body is made up of trillions of microscopic cells. Practically all of them have to die and be replace at some point in time. And each and everyone of the cells has a different life span. Our body is a system made to program Cell Death which has to be highly maintain to have a balance of cell death and formation.

Now notice this. Since nearly all Cells are regularly replaced, living forever is certainly feasible. If our cells keep regenerating.

Even if they could invent something to keep our cells regenerating it wouldn't be available to the public, we're already over populated as it is.

I really doubt its that simple but even if it were so, the biomechanical additions needed to a body to constantly regenerate every single cell... It would probably make much more sense to simply bio upgrade our brains (so that we keep regenerating brain cells) and instead use mechanical bodies. Fck the human species, we would all become iron men.

This.
Earth already reached its limit, people just dont want to realize it.
Look at asian countrys..overpopulated as shit. Africa cant feed its own people.
Last thing earth needs are immortals.

Well immortality would be possible, if you would kill all new borns in exchange.

At some point in the future, Im pretty sure we will have sexual laws. I really cant see how we can survive and have complete reproductive freedom as it is.

there is a limit to how much a cell can go through mitosis, this is due to the shortening of the telomeres in the cellular DNA upon mitotic division. it is a natural process that, in fact, is a control mechanism that prevents uncontrolled cell division or more commonly known as cancer. probably not a good idea to mess with the telomeres

Metempsychosis, a variation on this theme.

Ah, yes, I have heard about this.I was wondering if someone would bring it up. Anyway, there are various ideas about making people immortal going around, yes, but it is definitely not as simple as you make it out to be. There is going to be a catch somewhere. I don't think the technology will be completed for a long time, if at all.
