Why would anyone want to be immortal? If something happens on earth u will suffer for enternity, and whats fun about living forever? u would get so bored and probably go through depression with seeing all of ur friends and loved ones die. Ik some have different beliefs but for me Id rather go to heaven and be with my family. CHRISTIANITY>>>>>>>haha

I am interested in what the future will look like after I die but I wouldn't like to be immortal because I would miss my family and everyone close to me when they pass away. I wouldn't be able to join them in the afterlife. I want to be like everyone else, and die someday.
That probably sounds really depressing.. gomenasai.. :shy:

No..Absolutely not.
Just think about it. If you are going o live forever, there's a near 100% chance that you'll fall victim to an earthquake/landslide/avalanche/volcano.Now imagine this, You are stuck beneath heaps of debris and you may lay there for hundreds of years.

Even if you survive this, Our sun will turn into a red Giant in like 5 billion years and slowly devour the Earth. You'll just be roaming the infinite nothingness after that.

If you are more optimistic and think we'll find a new planet to live, Evolution will make you a complete outcast in a few million years.

Another thing is Time, Our perception of time speeds up with age. If you are going to live forever, Time will be so fast for you, You'll hardly notice a gap of few centuries.

Yup, It'll Suck.

no i wouldnt want it, do you know how long for ever is? you would get bored not to mention how you wouldnt fit anywhere in a few million years anyway, theres also the problem of how the universe will change and you would be screwed
id rather die and rot and not exist anymore (like we all eventually will), you cant care about what happens to you after you die anymore anyway

Yeah, but only if I have the option to die whenever I wanted to. I would love a Lazarus Pit like Ra's. Not immortality, but to gain life back when old/about to die/sick/etc... The option to basically be immortal, but without the negative that is not dying.

yes, i want to see how humanity develops , for better or for worse, its the only way i can make a truly informed decision about either believing in , or not giving 2 turtle shits, my species as a whole, besides, if i wanted to end it , if the world really turned into a shit storm, id just jump in a volcanco, with ironmans arc reactor, and take half the planet with me to hell, because screw it, go out with a bang..and take the eastern sea board with you

Yep, I'd choose to be immortal. Nope, I wouldn't allow myself to be attached to anyone; I can control my emotions quite well, thank you.

My reasons for choosing immortality? Well, I'd be able to change the world. Let's just say that there'd be some major pain brought to those who cause suffering. If I'm truly immortal, then things like guns wouldn't affect me. Therefore nothing and no one would have a chance...I would end all war. I would be able to force the changes that see are necessary; I'd make sure that those who are evil cower in fear and terror at the very mention of my name.

If I had the option of obtaining immortality, then I would do so w/o hesitation. Your family will die eventually anyway and most likely you will be alive to see it, so I dont see a difference. You could master all things, you would pratically be a god.

Immortality could be achieved in an instant , if we could alter the way how our DNA behaves.

But yeah , Immortality = You can master absolutely everything , and at the same time , become extremely smart.

But I myself do not have a need for it.

60-75 years is good enough for me.

I would learn to draw Naruto and continue the story after Kishi's death forever.
