Immortality is not necessarily right or wrong. It would depend on what you do while you live forever. I personally would not want it. Mind you, eternal life is not the same thing as eternal youth. Read the Greek mythology story of Tithonus who was granted immortality without eternal youth. Dude turned into a cicada because he got so old and shriveled.

Yeah sure... i always wanted to see the future, see how the world ends... That is of course in the conditions you mentioned... eternal life along with eternal youth.
I don't really understand people saying that you have to see your loved ones die... you will have to do that whether you are immortal or not... it's actually better because they won't have to suffer your loss (if you were to die)
