It's a valid assumption based on salad's dialogue. No one has forced him out, he is there of his own will.

This is only immature Sasuke and Sakura Haters who can't accept they are a Happy Family.
Then they create ridiculous theories to try bring down the obvious Happy Ending from a traditional shounen manga.
They wants to hate Sakura. But With this they completely shitty on Sasuke's character
Haters want a redeemed Sasuke beating his wife the same Sasuke who apologizes to Sakura for all he had put her and wants to pay all his sins helping the world.
Sasuke's speech in 698-699 showed his true feelings and that he left his darkness behind and is prepared to cherish his bonds

It will be the relationship between boruto and naruto and Sarada and Sasuke…
Sarada only wants more attention from Sasuke like Bolt wants from Naruto.

Not that I disagree with you or anything but you do understand the difference of being sent on a mission by people you can't refuse, compared to leaving on your own. I agree him being away doesn't mean he doesn't care, especially when we don't even know how long he's been away he could have just left for all we know, however, Shonen dad's don't have a good track record: Ging, Minato, Goku, Sasuke's dad, Naruto.
And to those who say Naruto isn't being a bad father right now, think of it this way: Naruto grew up with no parents so he knows what that's like, he drew on the faces of the Hokages for attention, now when his son does the same because Naruto isn't home with him that should be a sign he needs to spend more attention on his son.
