Here's an idea maybe buy his shit before criticism. Or better yet why do you still read naruto if you all apparently hate what kishi is doing with it.

I see where you're coming at but heh, unfortunately, no matter what we say, it won't change anything. People just love to hate, that's all. Infact, this forum should be renamed to "narutobash" since this is the daily routine of so many members here.

I enjoy naruto for what it is and I don't give a flying f**k about other peoples' opinions. As long as you have your own opinion and stick with it, you'll be fine. Just disregard what other people have to say unless it's actually constructive (I don't mind people bringing constructive criticism at all).

However, when you see threads like "X character > Y character", "X character solos", "Bla bla bla asspull bla bla bla plothole etc..." or "One piece > Naruto" (and vice versa), I kinda get why you feel that way.

While it is kishimoto's manga (actually Shueisha's), no author is above criticism. Writing a thing does NOT mean that piece of work is good (or in the case of Naruto, not consistently good).

What a lot of people complain about are the inconsistencies. For me, the story has been often good, logical, etc. There are parts of the story that make no sense whatsoever and do not track to earlier events and information. Then there are wasted parts used as delays (aka filler).

Kishomoto is relatively good as a manga writer, but he is certainly no Tolkien.

But kishi did go down hill with his manga exactly after his father died
