Arrancar arc (huge part of the anime) was rather lacking IMO (not necessarily bad).

So one arc should define the entire manga/anime?

It has it's up and downs like every other anime.

Personally it's the best anime/manga second to Death Note.
Which hurts me since the anime stopped (i dont believe it's in a hiatus) and the current manga arc really needs to be animated since its the shit!!

Super Powers: Check!
Cool mix of Characters: Check!
Main Protagonist is bad ass: Check!
Main Antagonist is bad ass: Check!
Even the fillers are worthwhile watching unlike the ones in Naruto (Shippuden): Check!

So you definatley got to finish it all. I'm sure you'll be like "Why the hell didn't i watch this when it came out" ;-)
