Incorrect. It is never stated that the Rinnegan is granted near death. If you're using Madara as a placeholder in this argument, you'd be wrong. He didn't say he awakened his Rinnegan near death and or in a near death experience (like getting stabbed). He awakened it at the end of his natural life span. And he needed Senju DNA, which is FAR different than Senju chakra, which is temporary at best. And Rikudou had the Rinnegan as well, but it is never hinted he awakened or was granted the Rinnegan near death. So how can you counter that?​

madara said i didn't unlock until he was near the end of his natural life span it didn't say he was on his death bed when it unlock.

Plus sasuke doesn't even have senju dna and don't even bother mention the zetsus, obito had it more incorporated with his body for years and no rinnegan unlocked.

I see what you mean .

Obito would probably need EMS to have gotten Rinnegan. He only had one eye and an MS.
It doesn't say you need EMS before you get rinnegan , but the only person we could use as an example for this would be Madara and he did have EMS before he got Rinnegan. Cant comment on Rikudou.

Lots of things aren't really definitive in this story and have plenty of assuming , speculating , and theorizing based off of the info given and this topic is no exception.

I'm anti-'Sasuke getting Rinnegan' and for a long time have believed he won't. But as of the past few chapters I think he will.
