Bingo!! Correct answer right here!!
/thread
He had Kakashi keeping the kunai in order to protect him if Madara attacked with those Black balls.
Nothing proves he cannot, yet nothing proves he can; those are just empty phrases. And as the ability wasn't even remotely hinted at any point, the burden of proof would be on you. In my opinion, that train left the station long ago, when Minato himself explained the requirements for remote teleportation, with the Hiraishin marks not being among them. If Kishimoto was to introduce that ability all of a sudden now, he most likely wouldn't do it as decently as you suppose.Well while it's true Minato only showed to teleport to the marking so far, nothing proves he cannot teleport people connected to the marking as well because we've never seen him actually try it before, so Kishimoto implementing the possibility at this stage wouldn't be incoherant at all. Your safety reasoning is also possible though, eventhough judging by the success of the operation it's hard to believe the kunai finally played no role in there
I'm not trying to prove anything. I'm just talking about possibilities, hence my questions. I never said Minato teleporting anything connected to his kunai was a sure fact, only a possibilityNothing proves he cannot, yet nothing proves he can; those are just empty phrases. The Kunai's expandability, however, is quite the opposite of hard to believe. Giving the Kunai to Kakashi was no part of Minato's set plan but rather an act of caution, in case Madara was to attack Kakashi. He came up with that idea before witnessing how far Gai could drive Madara into a corner on his own, not leaving him a chance to even think of attacking Kakashi.
Never said you were. You yourself, however, claimed that the impossibility could not be proven. I just mentioned that it's a possibility I have no reason to believe in.I'm not trying to prove anything. I'm just talking about possibilities, hence my questions. That would be possible. But as before, I have no reason to believe that assumption, which of course would have been mentioned, as transfering Chakra to Kunai is something Minato hasn't demonstrated yet.The definition of the hiraishin working add the fact anything connected to his chakra gets teleported, so if for example there was a little bit of his chakra on the kunai, he could teleport you to another marking, making the possibility of leaving a kunai to Kakashi in other to close the distance to Madara faster possible.
Don't know how this is connected to the actual point, but seemingly it was, as that is the reason he gave his Kunai to Lee; in order to assist Gai. By handing out his Kunai, he could have protected both Kakashi and Gai; however, as Gai is the only one who was attacked in the first place, Minato only had to protect him.I'm not denying your point to be possible as well, but don't forget Minato actually told Gai to continue his attacks no matter what even before Madara's counter-attack [You must be registered for see links], which could mean saving Gai from Madara's counter-attack was actually not really part of the plan as well or maybe he read Madara there
Ok it was a misunderstanding then i guess. I've no problem with your statement hereNever said you were. You yourself, however, claimed that the impossibility could not be proven. I just mentioned that it's a possibility I have no reason to believe in.

However, there is no way to tell how long the Chakra actually remained. In general, Chakra eventually vanishes from weapons after they leave their user's hands [Genin Sasuke could [You must be registered for see links]. Pretty sure it's not something outstanding
No, when Kakashi promoted to Jonin Minato gave him a kunai as a present; which Kakashi obviously lost in battle. Minato is just replacing the one that Kakashi misplaced![]()
