After re-reading the chapter, something bothered me. Minato's sentence [
Well Gaara did mention the fact his sand was too slow for Madara's attacks, but Minato adds it's ok i'm here too, in other words i'll take care of this
And when you take a closer look at the moment Minato appeared infront of the collision between Madara's attack and 8gated Gai, you'll notice the position where Minato actually hold his kunai is similar to Kakashi's sudden apparition on Gaara's sand
So do you think Minato is the one who actually teleported him there? Which could also explain the reason why Kakashi had to keep the kunai
