Many people seem to have this lack of understanding when it comes to Sasuke's actions or character. Sasuke's personality may be too complex for many readers to grasp so they will just dismiss it because they can't handle it or they don't want to accept it because it's "Sasuke". The Naruto fandom (in particular) and the Sasuke haters (in general) are simple like-minded folk who can't even comprehend what Sasuke's persona is really about. Sasuke lived most of his life alone in bitter despair having revengeful thoughts and ambition because his family and clan had been destroyed in a single night by the one he truly loved most from an unexpected circumstance.
Later, being traumatized of that terrible night once again in a Genjutsu by the one who tormented him before.
All this occurred, and people still want to question his actions and bash Sasuke for the way he acts today. You can praise Itachi for being such a "wonderful brother" and the decisions that he made, but in return degrade Sasuke as if he is the bad guy? Whatever you were expecting of Itachi, it doesn't matter because in the end he only failed.
I wonder how you would feel or react after someone killed your mother and father as well as your entire hometown in front of your eyes at the age of only seven and then took a video of that event and made you stay up all night and watch that event over and over again. You people can't even grasp the realism of Sasuke's cause, so you act as though the things that he does are out of silly affairs when in fact most of his actions are justifiable. Naruto fans in particular lack the ability to put themselves in another persons situation or try to actually understand the events of the other person, so they act clueless and dismiss it from their minds.
Most people hated him during his MS days when he wanted to kill everyone in Konoha and crush their dreams including innocent people, but:
1) He didn't actually destroy the Leaf
2) It was all Danzo's fault, so if you're going to hate on someone then hate on Danzo
Unlike Danzo, Hiruzen was actually willing to compromise for the greater good of the Uchiha, but was turned down by the leaders, including Danzo.
Danzo is scum who only cares about his own twisted ideals without listening to anyone else.
Even Itachi didn't like Danzo.
Danzo wants to speak about how Itachi let Sasuke live and how that was a mistake.
When in fact Danzo and the village elders were behind the reasons for Sasuke's actions.
Most people claim that Sasuke is exactly like Danzo, but Danzo and Sasuke are nothing alike. Danzo is a coward who hides behind the shadows and commits horrendous acts behind the scenes like a pitiful thief in the night trying to attack an old lady without a weapon. Sasuke takes shit head on even if the odds are stacked against him. Danzo was too much of a coward to handle things himself so he had to proclaim war on the Uchiha clan instead of actually trying to compromise like Hiruzen. Sasuke is only trying to do what is right in his heart. As Kishimoto stated, Sasuke is a pure hearted child who may be selfish to some, but to others he is only doing what is good for the better and that can be seen as selfless. I ask you, If someone killed your whole family and all your close relatives, would you sit by and let whoever did it get away with it?
When it comes to Naruto he has always been naïve and completely unrealistic. His head full of silly dreams and fairy tails.
He even tried to take on the entire war by himself.
If Naruto never tamed the power of the Kyubi then he would never speak like this. He is only positive because he has new power.
The only reason why Hashirama was so positive during his reign was because he had so much power to do anything. He created the leaf village ffs.
Naruto is strong so of course he believes in his dream of "infinite peace".
When it comes to that Hokage seat stuff, I don't care as I suspect that Sasuke will lead and build his own new Uchiha clan, but I will say this though:
Naruto only wanted to become Hokage again only after Sasuke announced that he wanted to.
Ohh but wait, what was this guy saying before? Something about dying with Sasuke and how he cant become Hokage since he can't save his friends..
I find it very amusing that Naruto decides to become Hokage again only after Sasuke announces that he will.
Also, take a look at this:
Naruto states that there are no shortcuts to becoming Hokage, but what was Naruto given throughout his life?
> Kyubi chakra from birth
> Fortune telling from a toad to be the child of prophecy
> Ashura's reincarnation (One of the most powerful beings in the NV)
> Power of all 9 Bijuu
And you have the nerve to tell me that there are no shortcuts to becoming Hokage?
Now, I am in no way leaving out Sasuke. Sasuke was given shortcuts too, but at least he doesn't go around preaching the way of hokage when in fact Naruto has had the most shortcuts in the entirety of the manga and you can't deny this. Sasuke might have been given shortcuts but at least he isn't a hypocrite.
Naruto is a simpleton and he is also naïve. Someone tries to kill your mother and father while you are still a baby toddler, and then they cause the destruction of your home town by releasing a beast into the wind, resulting in your parents sacrificing themselves and you becoming the Kyuubi host and thus being alone and hated by the majority of your own village people, and you toss it aside and let him come back into your home scott free without any repercussions? Oh, but wait..when it comes to Sasuke and all the things that he has done then people say that he should be punished? Double standards much?
Sasuke's character since the end of part one has been all about severing bonds. Naruto believes in friendship and building bonds. Sasuke wants change and he believes that power is necessary. He was willing to give his own body to Orochimaru just to accomplish his first goal of killing Itachi. It's quite obvious that he is not that self-centered as he would give up his own body just to accomplish his goal. Sasuke knows that Itachi and his clan were sacrifices to protect the leaf, and that is why he wants to save it now, so him wanting to become Hokage to change the current system is not ridiculous at all, as he is trying to change the future for the better.
People don't like Sasuke because he doesn't care about the consequences of his actions but as I recall, they are ninjas. Why should they care about the consequences when they kill on a daily basis?
> The Cloud tried to kidnap Hinata and the Leaf forgave them. I wonder if the Cloud were thinking about the consequences then?
> The sand attempted and succeeded in destroying part of the Leaf and killing the third Hokage with the help of Orochimaru and the Leaf forgave them. I wonder if the sand were thinking of the consequences then?
People want to complain about Sasuke attacking Bee but, Bee didn't die because he escaped so what exactly is the problem again?
What if the Cloud succeeded in kidnapping and killing Hinata? You can't just look at Sasuke's actions and disregard the others just because you don't like him.
People want to complain about Sasuke attacking the Kage summit, killing Samurai and slicing Ei's arm off, but as I recall:
1. He was only after Danzo so the other people got in the way not to mention that the others didn't trust Danzo anyway
2. Sasuke warned the Samurai not to attack him and it wasn't even their place to be fighting with ninja anyway
3. Gaara killed many people when he was unstable and yet people don't argue against that
4. It's just an arm. He can just ask NaruJesus for a new one
People want to complain about Sasuke killing Danzo:
1. Sasuke was doing everyone a favor with his death
2. Danzo was the reason for Sasuke's demise
3. Sasuke accomplished one of his goals
4. No one really gave a shit when he died anyway
People don't like him because he's rude to other people. Many people were upset when Sasuke called Sakura and Kakashi useless, but what he said was 100% correct and you can't deny it. Sasuke and Naruto were and are the only ones who could handle the situation. The life of two people should not be hindered on the line of the entire world. Yes, it's true that Sasuke acted rudely towards Kakashi, but when has he not acted rudely towards people? You people act like this was something new that you have never seen before. Sasuke has always been rude and disrespectful. I suggest you wake up from your free world of courtesy and peace and look at reality because Sasuke has always acted like this, so there is no use in whining about this particular incident anymore when in fact he was stating the truth. If in fact Sasuke didn't honestly care about anything then he would have never joined the war. He was the one who brought back the Hokage's thus giving aid to the SA. He is the only one who is being realistic at this point. He protected Naruto from getting caught by IT. Both Kakashi and Sakura were useless, so no matter what they said, it wouldn't have helped Sasuke or Naruto. Kakashi and Sakura wanted to know what was going on, but like Sasuke said, what difference would it make to the situation? Sasuke is a good strategist and he was the only one who knew about the situation with the exception of Naruto. Kakashi and Sakura cannot do anything except being potential fodders for Naruto who is currently babying them as we speak. You simpletons act as though this is real life and Sasuke is trying to rule over you. Well guess what, it's just a manga. I bet if Kishimoto decided to let Naruto say those exact words that Sasuke said then you people would be jizzing all over your computer screens.
People don't like Sasuke because he has an arrogant attitude, but almost every manga or anime needs a jerk or prick to make the story more interesting and mysterious. These type of characters help make rivals for stories. Vegeta was a jerk and his rival was Goku. Sasuke is a jerk and his rival is Naruto. If you don't like characters like Sasuke then don't bother reading manga's affiliated with them. Maybe you should stick to your typical romance shojo bs since you like that lovey dovey friendship nonsense. Yes I get it, most people like the typical Shounen hero who likes to goof around and make friends. Well good for you, but don't make up bs about Sasuke.
Many people say that the only reason why they hate Sasuke is because of his fans, but that is a very stupid reason to hate a character. If you have to distance yourself so low as to hate on a character because of a certain fanbase then you are pathetic. That's like hating on Justin Bieber for his fangirls.
Please don't get the wrong idea. I really don't give a shit if you hate Sasuke or not. That is not even the point of this thread. The point of this thread is to show you the meaning of Sasuke's character and how his actions are far from unreasonable. If you hate him then good for you, but don't spew false bs about something that you can't even comprehend. If you don't like Sasukes actions then fine, but don't start moaning about how "he is such a horrible shitty emo character" because he's trying to fight for something that is important to him. Unlike Naruto, at least Sasuke's dream is actually attainable. Sasuke wants to restore his clan and change the current system, but what does Naruto want again? A world full of peace and harmony? Good luck with that. Sasuke is far from unrealistic.
