To make the Manga have its 5 seconds of epicness, Kishi should've showed Naruto and Sasuke battling each other while still trying to defeat Obito. One trying to incapacitate just to TNJ, the other trying to kill the bastard cold.
It would've showed that they had different views, similar to the Elder Brother and the Younger Brother. One fighting for love and peace, the other fighting for destruction or whatever. Lol I'm high as sh!t but yeah.. would've been an epic brief fight before they decided to agree to settle it after THEN suddenly fuse and extract the bijuu's together to also show their friendship. Sasuke still could've had his evil motives instead of ruining his look and copying Naruto.

Also, Hebi Sasuke (and his outfit) was much more badass in his calm, analyzing ways, rather than him going psycho.
Off topic: How much do you guys wanna bet after Madara gets both eyes he's gonna say "I couldn't use my (Final) Susanoo at full power because I didn't possess my eyes" or some bullspit relating to that.
