Why in the hell would he provoke Naruto? Seeing as they were pretty much on par this chapter, if Sasuke didn't have anything up his sleeve.. why would he ask his opponent if that's all he's got?

They were both holding back this chapter. Why was Sasuke holding back? Who knows. It's Sasuke.. he isn't exactly the most predictable character. It's clear that Naruto is holding back because he fears killing his best friend.

I just think it's funny that people are so quick to hop on the Sasuke hate train and say that Naruto can hold back against Sasuke and still stalemate him like Sasuke isn't doing the exact same thing.

No one is claiming that Sasuke is "the one" holding back. If you could comprehend literature, you'd understand that I clearly stated that they're both holding back.

Naruto also started in base, whereas Sasuke immediately used his Rin'negan shifting ability. Neither of them are going all out, and I doubt they will. Next chapter will be mostly talking sadly. The fight I've been hyped for for years... And it's going to be rushed. I've defended Kishi for a while, but he's gutting the final fight. The premise and purpose of the entire manga. It's infuriating to say the least.

agree with this. The fight itself holds so much significance to Sasuke he’s not going all out and him complaining about Naruto's performance even support this. Same can be said about Naruto.

I meant it figuratively. Sasuke used it at the beginning of the fight. He used Grand Fireball to create a distraction in order to cloud naruto's field of vision so he could execute his Rin'negan shifting ability. Naruto was in base until the the fireball came near him, which he used to brush it off, to which Sasuke knocked him back with his Chidori.

Rikudou mode would be intertwined with the Ashura Avatar, not separate. It would be an extension of his power (Senjutsu/Gudoudama) plus the power of the Tailed Beasts amplifying it.
