but it clearly states Sasori's puppets were unique in that they were made from the still-living bodies of humans. These human puppets were more versatile than regular puppets, since, in addition to having many dangerous devices installed within them (as is common with regular puppets), they were also able to use chakra and perform techniques. Any techniques or kekkei genkai abilities possessed by the converted human were also passed onto the puppet
