[Discussion] IF Roger had a Devil Fruit

I think it would be a Zoan, model Seagull. I know this sounds stupid for possibly the strongest character in the series but I think it fits him.

According to Luffy(and from Rayleigh's reaction Roger as well) the Pirate King is the person with the most freedom. Birds in general have always symbolized freedom because of the ability of flight and One Piece is no different. Seagulls are the epitome of the representation of freedom in OP imo, The first image in Romance Dawn is Luffy and a gull.

The first scene in the anime is an aerial shot of a seagull flying while talking about Roger. Here we see some of the best pirates, with jewels having a good time and seagulls

The Marines', the force restricting the freedom in OP, symbol is a seagull with a wrench. Wrench's are used to tighten things. Essentially there logo is saying we are locking down freedom.
Gol sort of looks like and sounds like, depending on pronunciation, Gull.

So to recap, PK=most freedom, Seagulls represent freedom in OP, his name sounds like Gull(sort of)

All that said I don't think Roger actually had a DF, but if he ends up having one I think this may be it.

Agreed, which is why I finished my post with it. It's never really been confirmed or denied but I think most of assume if he had one it would have been mentioned by now. This is just a hypothetical what if/what may be thing. I fully expect Roger to be a regular guy like Shanks or Rayleigh but we never know, so far most all captains have a DF, Shanks being the glaring contradiction.(Luffy, BB, Buggy, Moria, DD, WB, BigMom, Bellamy, Law, Kid, Capone, Hawkins, Drake, Bonney etc. etc.)

^^^^^ Roger's crew members were talking about DF's as if they have never witnessed one prior to finding Buggy's DF . SO, I guess it's safe to assume that he wasn't a DF user. At least not at the time when Buggy ate Bara Bara no mi.

Roger had no fruit in my opinion. It had to be super strong if he did -- given that, why'd teach choose Quake Quake over finding Roger's? Even so, I believe the reason why Roger is so strong is because he and few others (Shanks, Whitebeard, Dragon) had learned the true power of Haoshoku Haki past simply knocking out fodder, but that is just me.
