Perhaps take the fruit of the God Tree. Perhaps wait until Sasuke or Madara or Obito is vulnerable and take over one of them. Or maybe to just simply defeat Obito and Madara because he doesn't want Tsuki no Me to happen.

Orochimaru is evil, dark, sinister. But his goals do not cross with this war. He simply wants to continue his research....
Though, if you look at the scenario at hand...Orochimaru can take control of the battlefield very soon... I expect some twist to happen once Obito is defeated and the Shinju is released to rampage.

Become a godlike entity.Since he and Kabuto were studying the origins of the Rinnegan/SO6P it's possible Orochimaru wants the ultimate jutsu learner.

Orochimaru is definitely planning something.The question is what is he going to do?
He doesn't have any intentions in the war. He's stated that at least twice now. He's only participating because even he realizes that if Obito succeeds, he can't proceed with his agenda after the war (the lesser of two evils).
I don't Orochimaru dying in the war, It'd be too redundant. So I can see him being the villain after the war, since his original agenda was to learn everything about the ninja world, immortality, the origins of power, learning every jutsu, etc. With everything that's going on in the war currently, that's great opportunity for Orochimaru. He'd probably continue after Sasuke, or start some new agenda.

I talked about this in one of the other 20 or so threads these idiots made but I mostly agree. The only slight against your argument is the likelihood that Orochimaru will still come after Sasuke. He already told Sasuke he was no longer planning on taking his body. Now of course the cattle here are probably going to say that he could have been lying but we clearly see Orochimaru's internal monologue when Sasuke attacks Obito - wherein Orochimaru thinks to himself that he is only interested in "watching" Sasuke become stronger.
