Though, if you look at the scenario at hand...Orochimaru can take control of the battlefield very soon... I expect some twist to happen once Obito is defeated and the Shinju is released to rampage.

He doesn't have any intentions in the war. He's stated that at least twice now. He's only participating because even he realizes that if Obito succeeds, he can't proceed with his agenda after the war (the lesser of two evils).

I don't Orochimaru dying in the war, It'd be too redundant. So I can see him being the villain after the war, since his original agenda was to learn everything about the ninja world, immortality, the origins of power, learning every jutsu, etc. With everything that's going on in the war currently, that's great opportunity for Orochimaru. He'd probably continue after Sasuke, or start some new agenda.

I talked about this in one of the other 20 or so threads these idiots made but I mostly agree. The only slight against your argument is the likelihood that Orochimaru will still come after Sasuke. He already told Sasuke he was no longer planning on taking his body. Now of course the cattle here are probably going to say that he could have been lying but we clearly see Orochimaru's internal monologue when Sasuke attacks Obito - wherein Orochimaru thinks to himself that he is only interested in "watching" Sasuke become stronger.
