It's debatable if Gamabunta would have listened to Naruto. If Gamabunta was aware of the situation, and that Orochimaru was going get Sharingan, I think he would have listened and help Naruto stop Sasuke.

I love how some of you are downplaying the Naruto vs Sasuke situation, saying Gamabunta would have viewed it as "just an argument between 2 kids". Um no, it was Orochimaru on the verge of getting his hands on the Sharingan.

um yes WE know that because we've been watching the dramatic story of it and know the characters. Gamabunta just met this kid and from his perspective that is literally all he sees, and as someone who already looks down on humans

Also yeah Gamakichi & Naruto could sit him down and explain it to him but when is that happening? In the middle of this Naruto/Sasuke fight that was one of the most close combat and intense of the series?

Gaara wasn't attacking Naruto, he was a giant enemy who had 3 ninja on him at once and was undergoing a transformation. Valley of the End was a largely taijutsu based fight where Sasuke was on Naruto in a very big way. I really don't see Naruto explaining this random kids affiliation with Orochimaru whilst staying alive AND convincing the strongest toad ever why his BS is worthy of his time

. Also the fact that Gama is a hardass. If Gamakichi was getting picked on by anything smaller than a giant Bijuu demon then i'm sure tough nut toad would've just told Kichi to man up and deal with it, same goes for Naruto & his friend. A giant toad is not absolutely essential and Toads don't like to get involved in human affairs.
