Think about it like this, from Gamabunta's perspective all he sees are two kids fighting in the middle of nowhere. And without the context we know that led to this, it really is just 2 friends having an argument, why would Gamabunta get involved?

Well then what's the point of giving him Gamabunta then? If nobodies in character and Gamabunta's there against his will then why don't we give Part 1 Sasuke abilities he doesn't have too? Maybe some Amateresu? the rinnegan?
