What people thought was that Madara died with his rinnegan, and tobi was the one who implanted them into Nagato. In the recent chapter, we found out that Madara had given his eyes to Nagato already, before his death, so how on earth was Madara revived with his original sharingan/rinnegan?
I'm not taking ''Kabuto made him get revived with it'' as a valid response.

Whether Madara died and Tobi transplanted his eyes into Nagato or whether Madara transplanted his eyes to Nagato before he died is irrelevant. Either way, Gedo Rinne Tensei would have revived him with his original Sharingan/Rinnegan eyes intact.
You seem to have this mindset that when a person is revived in Narutoverse, their bodies will resemble their most current states. IF that were the case, then yes whether with Edo Tensei or Gedo Rinne Tensei, Madara would have came back with no eyes intact. The same with Itachi and Nagato as well. Although they died with their eyes intact, their eyes were no longer intact before they were Edo Tensei'd.
HOWEVER, I'm going with what a few people on this thread have been saying: Edo Tensei brings back people from the dead as if they were in their 'prime' years; when they were at their peak of performance.
Their bodies's current states are irrelevant. I'm guessing for Madara, that would've been when he unlocked the Rinnegan. And also, you can't forget as people have mentioned that Kabuto was able to use Edo Tensei on Madara to bring him back 'beyond his prime', whatever that means.
As for Gedo Rinne Tensei, I'm not sure how that brings people back because it's only been used once and you can't really tell any differences in the people who were brought back by it. However, my theory on Gedo Rinne Tensei is that, since it seems that it can only bring back people who have been
recently deceased, this means that this jutsu most likely does bring people back to life exactly how they were before they died.
