Sure he would he would frustrate opponents to the point of forfeiture. Plus then you open the door for debate on what is "sport" is it competition, is it physical, is it limited to one or the other? Chess not so much a sport as a competition in my book and yes there can be competitions without sports, like an art or writing competition.
