Remember Obito didn't actually intend to run into the Jins and headbutt smack right into the targets face haha. Obito's powers and style involve him being quite stealthy. I'd personally say Gedo Mazu and possible Madara from BZ would've pulled it.

Yeah, you're right: his fighting style is better suited for quick 1 vs 1 fights. If he'd fought pretty much anyone alone at the start,I'm sure he would have won.kamui is an amazing defensive ability.


Off topic,but what do you think about shin and that leader? Think its orochimaru's doing?

He told the alliance that he didn't have enough power himself to take on all five nations but he has the 7 beasts to do that for him.
Worse case scenario is that the white zetsus die off faster.
He'll set the beast off to each division to go fight.

During the beginning of the war, Obito sat down doing nothing at all.

He mentioned he had to change his plans after Kabuto joined in.

The Zetsu were most likely a distraction (since you could say they were a real threat since they couldn't tell them apart from their allies).

The Bijuu to fight Naruto and Bee and capture them (Just the Bijuu though not the Jinchuuriki though that also means they'd be harder to control since the moment they transformed into Bijuu, the 5 Tails resisted his control for a moment).


You also have to factor in the fact that he had no way of knowing Naruto would actually be able to tell the Zetsus apart from the Shinobi. Not to mention, Naruto becoming a Perfect Jinchuuriki which tipped the battle in their favor.

Naruto woulda never been alerted to the Kyuubi chakra, and it's likely that the war would of turned into a battle of attrition with the shinobi alliance being assassinated behind the scenes. Eventually, it'd boil down to a weakened SA verus the Bijuu. Kabuto made things more complicated.

Without kabuto, Obito would've won this war....Now let me Explain the chain of events.

No Kabuto means No Return of Orochimaru, cuz Obito was going to kill Anko if it wasn't for Kabuto asking him not to.

No Orochimaru means No Edo Hokages or Edo itachi.

Which means Sasuke would still be indecisive and still Fighting against the alliance, just as Obito planned.

So we would've gotten EMS Sasuke vs BM Naruto, which ever wins from this doen't matter cuz Naruto would be Exhausted from the fight thus Obito Teleporting in and Kidnapping Naruto for kyuubi.

So now Obito would have all the 9 bijuu chakra = Juubito

So this would've become Juubito vs the Alliance (without Naruto or Edo Kages).....and we all know how that would've went......

Also Note that Obito's initial plan was something else....He had no interest in winning the war or even have an all out battle...he just wanted to bring out Naruto from hiding, distract the SA with Zetsu shape shifting and kidnap Naruto after his battle with Sasuke.

Obito actually did mention it prior to Kabuto involvement that He wanted to pit Sasuke against Naruto to get Sasuke to awaken Rennigan for Mazo.
