I was a Christian once, but if someone were to take the Bible seriously, I'm sure they would know if God was planning to release a Bible 3.0; Newest Testament. If something like that were coming, I'm sure God would have taken a few steps to alert people ahead of time so they won't fall into a trap.

Merely making your own third part of the Bible isn't enough, you'd have to showcase evidence that you were really told to do it in order for me to believe it. If you're a talented writer you might snag a few people, but any devout follower of a deity would believe that they would be notified of any new "updates" to their holy book.

Doesn't the bible says to watch out for people teaching false doctrines or something like that

I guess what's hard for me to understand is how you can read a book written by man and then say this is what God wants.

The Bible is hidden in mystery and obscurity which is why it works so well. There's not a soul alive to come back from Jesus' time to tell me if he did or didn't turn water into wine. There's not a soul alive to tell me if Moses really did part a sea and then kill the Egyptians on their chariots.

But there are so many books like that.

No, unless you prove to have supernatural powers, and after that if your power/magic didn't get neutralized by any other person, I think it'd be alright to consider you as some one who's been sent from god I guesss
if it actually exists at all
