I think you guys forget that you can't touch any secretions from ebola zombies! Which means you have to have a long-mid range weapon or you're screwed!

True... although i do have a lot of experience with chopping meat and direction of secretion.

But that's why i prefer arrows/fire & gravity. Blades are for last resorts only.

Economic crash and anarchy created by the loss of the current currency system is far more likely but I would turn to my SHTF supplies, my guns, and my blades (kukri machete, combat knife. folder).

I agree. My combat knife would be for the seemingly un-infected as a last resort if we were really talking Ebola. If someone attacks me, they've forfeited their right to live IMO.

AR or AK is the way to go for close-to-medium range (training is NECESSARY). AR is better for accuracy, range and ammo/parts in North America. AK is better for reliability without proper cleaning and parts/ammo in Eurasia or Africa.

against walking dead, my choice of weapons is anything i can throw at them.(recalling no arms in the house)i would through my old pc at them,knives in the kitchen,hammer,steel chair...or even tv.

Why would Ebola turn into some Walking Dead type of thing? I can see a destabilization in our civilization due to mass panic if an full on outbreak ever occurred, however, there will be no "zombies" due to this virus, no matter how hard I wish for a zombie apocalypse. Secondly, I doubt any virus can create a zombie apocalypse as most people believe so much. The only likely culprit that can do such a think in my view are fungi or parasites. There are fungi and parasites out there that are designed to take control over designated host targets such as ants, rats, etc. as well as changing their normal behavior, making them seek out to kill or commit suicide by actively hunting out it's natural predator. If there were a fungus or parasite genetically engineered to attack humans while being an airborne contagion and capable of altering our thought process to a more cannibalistic and murderous intent, then I can actually see a zombie apocalypse.

A pen, few screw drivers and i can find few knives ( we can do some knife throwing ) but you don't know much about Ebola don't you ? It's said, it has 90% death percentage though it's on seventy now and it only spread through contact and by body fluids....it's said it evolves faster and could develop into air born virus for now only danger is in the range of a sneeze and cough so no need have a panic attack yet .
