I got into a rather interesting conversation today with my AP Government teacher, and eventually we brushed slightly on the topic of government forms. As we were talking, he said it would be interesting to have a project later in the year regarding which form of government is best, and support for how, etc. I thought the idea was pretty cool, because people only tend to look at the negative sides of government, so it makes them think another form may be good.

What are your thoughts? You can say forms of government, but with specific details you think should be changed/added/removed.
I'm sure I can use this for the project later this year.

Without really thinking about it, I say an Oligarchy would be the best form. Everyone has equal opportunity to to receive power to participate in political affairs, such as by taking an aptitude test. Other than that, people are still treated same with equal treatment, though the smart people actually have the ability to work out the issues and rules. I say this because I have an idealistic view that citizens must value or put effort into political affairs in order to participate, though it is there choice if they simply choose to accept what goes on around.

Our current government would be great if they removed money from politics. That way our politicians can't be legally bought, like they are being right now.

The government should give us more money and privacy but also less bad things.

Our teacher was so bad. Most difficult 5 of my life.

Anyway, I think that we're in too deep now to make any meaningful changes without starting over tbh.

Actually, if politicians didn't have a salary, only persons with a high economic status could be politicians (since they would already have a monetary input), this would thus lead to rich ones being the ones who make the laws, therefore favoring their own interests, and not those of the whole citizenship.

Also, if they removed money from politics, all competent economists instead of solving the economical issues of a society, would be working in private enterprises because they would have better salaries.

The ideal government is no government at all.

But realistically speaking; a govt of libertarians and anthropologists woukd be ideal. To me.

In a state we can have an ideal government we would not need a government, in the end it is a control mechainsm.

But as by my definition an ideal government would be the one which is a control mechanism, not much else. No idealogies and patriotic thoughts smeared over it, just another mechnasim and system to live through our lives.

The ideal goverment is strong. It has a powerful army, air force, navy and police force.
The ideal government taxes every individual. All the taxes are reverted into the welfare of the people - education, healthcare, infrastructure.
The ideal government has no free market, but rather, state owned corporations which's profit is directed to research, defense, foreign aid, etc.
The ideal government has laws which are put into motion according to the decision of the people.

The ideal government doesn't exist for two reasons.

Human nature is to fulfill ones own self first.
Most of the population are idiots and are terrible judges of what would be best for them.
