I got into a rather interesting conversation today with my AP Government teacher, and eventually we brushed slightly on the topic of government forms. As we were talking, he said it would be interesting to have a project later in the year regarding which form of government is best, and support for how, etc. I thought the idea was pretty cool, because people only tend to look at the negative sides of government, so it makes them think another form may be good.
What are your thoughts? You can say forms of government, but with specific details you think should be changed/added/removed.
I'm sure I can use this for the project later this year.
Without really thinking about it, I say an Oligarchy would be the best form. Everyone has equal opportunity to to receive power to participate in political affairs, such as by taking an aptitude test. Other than that, people are still treated same with equal treatment, though the smart people actually have the ability to work out the issues and rules. I say this because I have an idealistic view that citizens must value or put effort into political affairs in order to participate, though it is there choice if they simply choose to accept what goes on around.
