Jeez...I agree Ichigo and Rukia or IchiRuki if you like is far better than Ichigo and Orihime or if you like IchiHime...
Here's why...
1) Tite Kubo hints far more to IchiRuki...
- On several occasions Kubo has been shown to draw pictures of both Ichigo and Rukia together and not in a brother/sister or friendship type of way most IchiHime fans like to think.

The Rain drags the Black sun down but the rain dried by the white moon - Look at it Ichigo's manifestion of his soul Zangetsu hates the rain thats about as deep as it gets and for Kubo to say Rukia (White moon) is the one that dries that away proves a lot to me.
Now I'll go to interviews with Kubo he had with Shonen Jump...
From Kubo-sensei himself! In a recent interview from the American Shonen Jump.
SJ: What does Rukia's name mean, and why is it written in katakana?
Kubo-sensei: "When I'm working, I jot down names in the margins of my notebook as they come to me. Once on TV, I saw the original type of cosmos in South America..."
SJ: You mean, the flower?
Kubo-sensei: "Yes. The show mentioned the name of the flower in Latin or something-like "rukia." It sounded like "Kuchiki Rukia" to me, and I wrote this down. When I created the character, I thought Kuchiki really fit as a Soul Reaper (Shinigami) name and called her Kuchiki Rukia. She had her full name from the very beginning. Later on, I learned that the word "rukia" means "light." She's like a ray of light for Ichigo, which makes the name really suit her."
SJ: Do you have any plans to make Ichigo and Rukia a couple?
Kubo-sensei: “I'm not going to confirm nor deny that." [Laughs]
In a interview during the release of Fade to Black Kubo was asked what Rukia was to Ichigo...he replied...
Kubo: I think there is no other relationship like them...Rukia is Ichigo's special Nakama...
Also when asked why he made Rukia look like she does Kubo replied it was to compliment Ichigo...
Considering Orihime, Chad, Uryu, Renji etc are all his Nakama what makes Rukia special...unless you're delusional you'll know what this is hinting at.
Now here's some famous IchiRuki quotes...from the manga I'll only give two at the moment unless you want more but the point should have been made.
"Thank you Rukia. Thanks to you, I think... the rain has stopped..."
-Ichigo, chapter 181.
"That's the kind of man you have been in my heart, Ichigo!"
-Rukia, chapter 196.
Both Quotes symbolize a lot for both characters anyone who doesn't see that obviously isn't paying attention to Bleach or the characters.
Both Ichigo and Rukia have both developed a bond far stronger than any other characters 5 minutes with Rukia and Ichigo whole personality changes from a helpless depressed person to a happy and smiling individual and it's the same with Rukia she spent decades alone and Ichigo didn't care for nobility he didn't see Rukia as the Kuchiki princess he saw her as Rukia and that's that...unlike Renji.
And this is why I find IchiHime and RenRuki so hard to see...considering that the only person to ever be able to make Ichigo happy after his depressions is Rukia why do people think that it would be fair for Orihime to see someone else motivate their loved one and why would it be fair for Renji to see this.
Also a lot of IchiHime fans like to throw out well Ichigo turned into a hollow for Orihime...and when they say this it leads me to believe they don't read Bleach carefully since that hollow was describe as Ichigo's despair the part he fears most...so overall it's not a good thing.
Not to mention Isshin and Masaki parallel their story slightly so to say Rukia is to old or she's dead as an excuse doesn't cut it when it comes to if Ichigo and Rukia being together.
Now take into account Ichigo is not dumb like Naruto...or anything so it's not that he's oblivious of people's affections he's ignoring Orihime's because he just flat out doesn't find her attractive to him.
Finally after all this is a long post why is it that most people believe IchiHime and RenRuki should happen and no well because she's got big boobs answers since it's pathetic I'd happily debate this.
