FINALLY!!! It's shorter though. Like last time it's more like a filler.

Chapter 2:
Shinru silently walked on the gravel path. His white robe moved with the shifting of the wind. His spear slung over his shoulder simply hit against his back making a diminutive, rattling sound. His hood stayed firmly over his head covering any features. He walked into the nearby tavern. The second he walked in nearly every skull in the bar turned to face him. He was used to it now. No matter how much he tried to conceal himself everyone always noticed something about him. He guessed that this time it was his white robe with the black stripes that seemed as though they were scribbled onto the robe.
He was basically used to the staring though. Ever since he killed Himono on that fateful day anyone he met stared at him with a look of awe. The tyrant had come close to ruling the entire Snow Country at a time, so long ago. Shinru’s battle was not public. It was fought in the shadows and had not been acknowledged until years after its occurrence. He dropped himself down onto a petite stool.
Shinru: ( sits down talking to the tavern keeper but not looking at him) Mead.
Tavern keeper: Ye-Yes Sir. (gives him a flagon of mead and spills some as his hands are shaking)
Shinru: (chuckles) I thought you tavern keepers were too tough to stutter and tremble. (grabs the flagon and drinks) (flicks a coin to the tavern keeper)
Tavern Keeper: (wipes away sweat) (laughs weakly)... G-Good one sir. It’s just that... It’s such an honor to talk to the Frozen Lotus... The Ice King... Slayer of Shimono... the-
Shinru:(holds up a hand still not looking at the tavern keeper) I’m very aware of my titles.
Tavern Keeper: S-sorry(looks down and scrubs table)
Shinru: (sighs and mumbles under his breath as he’s getting up) Is a simple conversation too much to ask?
Shinru never understood how 1 simple battle could lead people to believe that he was so powerful. Shimono wasn’t nearly as powerful as they believed. He was only smarter than them. He surrounded himself with guards that could barely count to two without someone leading them. As he walked out he saw gazes upon him again and let out a small sigh. As he walked back to his cabin he continuously flicked a coin into the air and whistled a small song. As he walked by he saw Riku and thought to say something but changed his mind. For now, there was too much peace to be disturbed by useless words. He wished that life could simply stay like this forever. Peace, empty of war and hate, but full of understanding and kinship. Where words don’t need to be spoken to be known. And where thoughts don’t need to be expressed to be acknowledged.
Every day of his life he strived for this peace. This peace was the only thing to fulfill him. People in the ninja world could never understand. So many are trained to kill without restraint and without reason. Complete battles could occur because of a simple argument that could have been stopped a single extra word. Lives were lost for one ignorant ruler who was chosen only by blood but not by intellect. The peace he strived for was whole and it only allowed violence as a completely necessary action. The peace he strived for would grow and pass to generations growing stronger and stronger as it went. The only problem was. The peace he strived for... required deaths.
He could only get this peace by killing those who stood in the way of it. Akatsuki was the main obstacle. But there were too many others. Ninja who were simply born malevolent and ninja who were made into immoral monsters. Either way, both were in the way of peace, and both had to be killed. But if they were killed then that would break the peace so how would it ever come? Simply thinking of it alone confused him to no end. He finally came to his small cabin and as he opened the door he could clearly see a man in a black robe sitting on a stool and in front of Shinru’s table flicking a coin. His pupil shrunk. There were red clouds.
Akatsuki Man: You didn’t forget about me old buddy old pal. You left before I even introduced myself. Tenzu is the name. (gets up and faces Shinru) And I’m back for the ice user. And this time nothing will stop me.
Shinru quickly grabbed his spear and moved into an offensive stance. The peace he strived for... required deaths...
Shinru wants peace. And Akatsuki has shown themselves. This could be a big step but can he really bring himself to kill?
