Ice Release, combination of Water and Wind natures was first shown by Haku Yuki, and an ability of the Yuki Clan. There have been variations shown such as snow release, which could be derivative of the ice release, much how water can be used to form syrup or mist.

Ice has a weakness to Lightning, as it can cut through while Earth can effectively shatter it physically. weak to sound as well, which can shatter the crystals by vibrating it hard enough.

Neutral to fire, as fire melts ice but then the water overpowers the fire. I guess you could almost consider this a weakness in a sense because the ice would still lose its physical form.

Strong to Wind and Water, both of which would just make the ice colder and grow more strength.

Lmao, well I see what you mean you were in a rush. Alright, nothing to add there, as you've got the basics in. Let's kick things off with these, and I'll share info when I think there's a need. Most of these are straightforward

(Hyouton: Shimogakure no Jutsu) - Ice Release: Hiding in Frost Technique
Type: Supplementary
Rank: C
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 15 (-5 per turn active)
Damage: N/A
Description: The user after performing the rat hand seal covers the surrounding area in frost, creating a cold mist and drastically lowering the temperature of the surrounding area. Despite not as hindering as the hidden mist, the technique enables a ninja to more stealthy move and surprise his enemy who will be hindered by both the thin mist and the freezing temperature.

(Hyouton no Jutsu) Ice Release Technique
Type: Supplementary
Rank: C
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 15
Damage: 30
Description: The user can use this jutsu to make it begin to snow down on the terrain, or, much like the “Earth Style Technique” the user can make small pillars or shields of pre-existing ice or make it materialize. If this is used to make snow, then after 3 to 4 turns most of the terrain will be covered.

(Hyouton: Tsubame Fubuki) Ice Release: Swallow Snow Storm
Type: Offensive
Rank: C
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 15
Damage: 30
Description: The user will shoot out a cluster of needles, shaped like swallows, which will fly out toward their target with great speed. The swallows are unable to be dodged as they can change direction in mid-air, redirecting themselves to hit their target. This jutsu is also highly resistant to fire attacks, unable to be destroyed by fire jutsu unless it is higher than C ranked.

outon: Shimogakure no Jutsu) - Ice Release: Hiding in Frost Technique
(Hyouton: Shimogakure no Jutsu) - Ice Release: Hiding in Frost Technique
As it says, similar look to hiding in mist, but its a lower temp. Less hindering, though not sure why, but I guess because its... less dense?

(Hyouton no Jutsu) Ice Release Technique
Basic C rank pillar/tool/shield technique. However can be used to make it snow. as stated, after 3 turns covers the field in snow

(Hyouton: Tsubame Fubuki) Ice Release: Swallow Snow Storm
A nice creation tech, meaning paired with Yang Sentience means that they could theoretically dodge if fast enough.

Probably less hindering due to it not blocking space/air between you as effectively in an open terrain for example.

As for Swallows, it's eh imo, mainly due to Jutsu speed nowadays, so it's be pretty slow really. Next three also direct.

(Hyouton: Hyōrō no Jutsu) Ice Release: Ice Prison Technique
Type: Offensive/Defensive
Rank: C
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 15
Damage: 30
Description: The user will rise up what seems like a jagged pillar of ice from the ground, encasing their opponent and freezing them in place. The user can also use this on themselves, encasing themselves in ice to defend them from jutsu. Being an ice user, however, the user will still be able to move their arms and legs fluently while in the ice.

(Hyouton: Sensatsu Suishou) Ice Release: 1000 Needles of Death
Type: Offensive
Rank: C
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 15
Damage: 30
Description: The user will make needles surround the opponent from all sides. Directly above them, though, there is an opening. The user can jump away at the last second before the needles converge on their opponent, or they can simply perform the jutsu from a safe distance.

(Hyouton: Usui Kōri no Ue Ni Tatte) Ice Release: Standing on Thin Ice
Type: Supplementary
Rank: C
Range: Mid-Long
Chakra: 15
Damage: N/A
Description: The user will make five hand seals and place his hands on the ice below him. He will then focus his water and wind chakra into the ice and with his chakra he will make the ice as weak and brittle as possible so that it is easily broken. If either the user or the enemy step on the ice in front of the user, it will shatter. This technique can be used to weaken other ice jutsu B-rank and below. In this case, the user does not need to make contact with the jutsu and will instead just transfer his chakra into the ice jutsu he wants to weaken. The affected ice jutsu will be weakened one rank.
Note: Courtesy of Haku Yuki.

Weirdly, being frozen lets you move your arms and legs in the ice? alrighty lmao. but I guess standard low rank restriction jutsu like the Water Prison. I guess handy because its canon so breaks spawning rules but still low rank enough to be beaten easily

(Hyouton: Sensatsu Suishou) Ice Release: 1000 Needles of Death
This seems like.... an anime tech that somehow they escaped because they jumped upwards. nice all encompassing tech but the hole in the top is problem.

(Hyouton: Usui Kōri no Ue Ni Tatte) Ice Release: Standing on Thin Ice
5 handseals for a C rank seems excessive. maybe for show? But then also weakens ice techs? I guess only useful if you fight other ice techs

Yeah, apparently we get the Ice fruit from One Piece. And yup, anime vibe, but a nice classic. I tend to look past some donated CJS considering the time they were made in lmao.

More basic stuff tbh, kinda nostalgic seeing these old stuff though lmao

(Hyouton: Hōgohi Engai) – Ice Release: Protective Ice Dome
Type: Defensive
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A
Description: The can quickly create an ice dome around his allies and himself to act as a defence. It is strong enough to withstand the assault of many exploding tags at once, remaining almost undamaged.

(Hyouton Hijutsu: Sensatsu Suishō no Shi) – Secret Ice Release: Flying Needles of Death and Destruction
Type: Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 20
Damage: 40
Description: A stronger version of the original Flying Needles of Death gathers large amounts of Needles from the air and surrounding environment into more than a thousand needles. He then directs the needles to a specific target, and leaps back to avoid damage to himself. The difference is that these needles are literally icicle spikes, and after damaging the target the icicle spikes melt into a light cold rain.

(Hyouton: Rōga Nadare no Jutsu) Ice Release: Wolf Fang Avalanche Technique
Type: Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 20
Damage: 40
Description: The user will create a pack of wolves made of snow that will rush down a mountain and attack the opponent. The user can also simply make a pack of wolves to attack the user without using the mountain, though the momentum they gain from their descent down a mountain makes the jutsu more effective.

I guess decent defence for freeform or close quarters stuff as it does say quickly but in the end I guess still a B rank tech

(Hyouton Hijutsu: Sensatsu Suishō no Shi) – Secret Ice Release: Flying Needles of Death and Destruction
Really weirdly worded, but I guess in essence its just a stronger flying needles tech. then turns to rain?

(Hyouton: Rōga Nadare no Jutsu) Ice Release: Wolf Fang Avalanche Technique
Doesnt say how many wolves are made, though I guess the standard would be 3? And the wording isnt specific about being more 'effective'

Yeah the melting part is mostly fluff, unless ig if you have a lightning technique for electrocution that's more effective on wet targets. Very niche. In the series it was like 6 or something, so starting from 3 and you can go up quite a bit, as along as splitting rules are followed you should be good.

I used to spam the hell of those ice spears, good times. Whale one could be pretty dope with Yang aesthetically, the tigers however, not so much.

(Hissatsu Hyōsō) Certain-Kill Ice Spears
Type: Offensive/Defensive
Rank: B
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 20
Damage: 40
Description: The user will create a single, or a large abundance, of very large ice spikes that will protrude from the ground. The spikes were shown to have been about the size, taller even, than a small house. The user can make multiple spikes that will rise up simultaneously in the same general vicinity, or a single one.

(Hyouton: Ikkaku Hakugei) Ice Release: One Horned White Whale
Type: Offensive/Defensive
Rank: B
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 20
Damage: 40
Description: A humongous white whale with a single horn made out of ice will be made. The whale can crash into a target using its large horn or simply its massive size, or it can serve defensive purposes; its large size making it capable of blocking any attack that it is capable of withstanding.

(Hyouton: Haryū Mōko) Ice Release: Tearing Dragon Fierce Tiger
Type: Offensive/Defensive
Rank: B
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 20
Damage: 40
Description: The user will create a giant tiger made out of ice. The tiger cannot even be slightly affected by any water release unless it is A ranked or above (or a combination of water and another element) as it freezes most water release attacks it comes in contact with.

Ice is good because of a lot of these techs are like spawning on/around opponent. so its like very quick reactions despite the slow movement of the techs

(Hyouton: Ikkaku Hakugei) Ice Release: One Horned White Whal
Big ass whale tech that blocks B rank stuff.

Hyouton: Haryū Mōko) Ice Release: Tearing Dragon Fierce Tiger
I guess most of these animal techs are kinda repetitive and derivative just different animals

Yeah they pretty much are. Alright, first is direct as well, kinda meh imo. Second simply freezes water, third is cool, simple and effective in certain cases. Would go well with Tai since it is does not need hand seals. Last one is a bit niche if you don'y have matching techniques, but it's aight generally, like if used on the basic technique for example to get a bootleg rain dagger or w.e those techniques were called.

(Hyōton: Bakusai Hyōshō ) - Ice Release: Blasting Ice Crystal
Type: Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra: 20
Damage: 40
Description: The user firsts traps the target's feet to the ground by freezing ice onto them. They then uses a specific hand seal which causes the chunks of ice at the target's feet to grow into one large chunk, freezing the target completely. Quickly jumping back they throw several senbon at the frozen target. It partially cracks the chunk of ice, and then shatters outward, damaging the target once more.

(Hyouton: Kōrudotatchi) Ice Release: Cold Touch
Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A
Description: While standing on a water surface, user simply gathers Hyouton chakra in both hands and places them on the surface. As his hands gets in contact with the surface his chakra spreads through the water and freezes it, creating an around one meter thick layer of ice. If the opponent is caught standing on the water surface while the water underneath him is freezing, he will be trapped. Once the freezing process completely ends, the surface is safe to walk on.
Note: Usable only four times per battle
Note: Courtesy of McRazor

(Hyouton: Mabayui Bakari no Rifurekushon) Ice Release: Blinding Reflection
Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A
Description: While the field is on ice, the user quickly channels chakra through his legs and sends it into the ground. While quickly spreading his chakra through the ground, he calculates his opponent's position and the position of the sun, which he then uses to manipulate the frozen ground in order create a small ice bump which deflects the sun into his opponents’ eyes. Due to the reflection being very strong and concentrated into one point, i.e. opponents’ eyes, he gets blinded enough for the user to move from long to mid or mid to short, and vice versa.
Note: Usable only two times per battle
Note: The sun must be clearly visible in the sky
Note: Courtesy of McRazor

(Hyouton: Yuki Tenkan) - Ice Release: Snow Conversion
Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Long
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A
Description: The user manipulates the snow on the battlefield that they created and uses their chakra to completely freeze the snow, causing it to become ice. Upon turning into ice, the newly turned ice will retain the same properties that it had before becoming ice. This includes, shape, rank, momentum, location, etc. Due to the small amounts of air in the snow and the increased density of ice, there will be slightly less ice after the snow is transformed.
Note: Can only be used four times per battle.

I mean.... I guess its ok in terms of freezing a targets feet with no handseals, and i guess if the damage actually comes from the senbon you could increase it with buki techs too i guess.

(Hyouton: Kōrudotatchi) Ice Release: Cold Touch
interesting, pretty specific. and how many battles really take place on a lake or ocean. best to like catch someone on an ocean landmark even then i guess you could say there is a small spit of land or something?

(Hyouton: Mabayui Bakari no Rifurekushon) Ice Release: Blinding Reflection
LMAO ok funny to kinda be like a counter to sharingan or the new void eyes. great way to avoid the insanity. plus if you got the sustainment specialty its like always active. lmao honestly this made me laugh more than it should.

(Hyouton: Yuki Tenkan) - Ice Release: Snow Conversion
uhh I guess its ok? seems more like just a manipulation of the environment than anything. but still worthwhile in certain circumstances.

Lmao yeah, some of these are so-so, but interesting potential with new mechanics. First is simple, second two used to be my favourites to use, as they acted as a dodge and movement techniques that can be used to attack.

(Kyousei Hyouton no Jutsu) Greater Ice Technique
Type: Offensive/Defensive
Rank: A
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 30
Damage: 60
Description: Similar to the original, weaker technique, the Greater Ice technique allows the user to, by making a simple hand seal (Ram) produce walls, pillars, etc of snow or ice. The ice constructs are rather simple in nature but resilient and strong, with the user being able to materialize them anywhere short range (though from that point they can grow up to long range) from him from the moisture in the air. He can, however, use any proportional water source within short-long range of him to produce said constructs. These can also be directed and propelled as projectiles towards targets. In both cases, the size and possible uses are limited only by the users will, chakra and skill. It also allows the user to cool down existing moisture in the high atmosphere to bring down a snow storm, similar to the original technique yet stronger and faster acting. This snow storm will not directly harm anyone but is useful to cover the field in snow rather quickly (2 turns) and to hinder visibility, sense of touch and hearing on anyone caught inside. The user is not immune to these effects though and must spend 15 chakra points per turn to sustain the blizzard, while becoming unable to mold other elements than Water, Wind or Ice.

(Hyouton: Aisu Disuku no Jutsu) Ice Release: Ice Disk Technique
Type: Offensive/Defensive
Rank: A
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage: 60
Description: The user will gather particles into the air and change them into a disk of ice. The ice disks are transparent, and they are therefore nearly invisible at a distance, and difficult to dodge or see until they are very close. They can also be used as highly durable shields or can be used to allow the user to hover in the air by using standing on it. Because of their transparency, the ice disks can be used as a large lens to focus rays of heat from the sun into a powerful beam to capable of melting or exploding a pinpointed area.

(Hyouton: Kokuryū Bōfūsetsu) Ice Release: Black Dragon Blizzard
Type: Offensive
Rank: A
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 30
Damage: 60
Description: The user will make a giant ether-like dragon of black snow. The dragon is capable of turning while in mid-air, and is therefore very difficult to be dodged. If it hits the opponent successfully, they will be launched high into the air afterwards.

(Hyouton: Aisu Disuku no Jutsu) Ice Release: Ice Disk Technique
Destructo disk made of ice? that also acts as an A rank shield? that also is a non chakra heat laser? thats pretty awesome.

(Hyouton: Kokuryū Bōfūsetsu) Ice Release: Black Dragon Blizzard

Destructo Disk indeed, and the dragon is basic, but used to be useful back then.. No comments on the next three, pretty straightforward.

(Hyouton: Yuki no Tsunami) Ice Release: Giant Wave of Snow
Type: Offensive
Rank: A
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 30

Note: Must already be in an area that is snow-covered.
Note: Can be used twice per battle.

(Hyouton: Yuki Tama) Ice Release: Snow Ball
Type: Offensive
Rank: A
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 30
Damage: 60
Description: The user will place his hands on the already snow-covered ground and focus his chakra into it. The snow will start rolling forward to form a giant ball of snow in mere seconds. The ball is big enough to crush the enemy underneath.
Note: Must be in a snow covered terrain.
Note: Courtesy of Haku Yuki.

(Hyouton: Paudāsunō) Ice Release: Powder Snow
Type: Offensive
Rank: A
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 30
Damage: 60
Description: With a string of two handseals, the user will create a powerful gust of wind in front of him which he will infuse with ice shards and snowflakes. Due to the constant rotation as the gust is going towards the opponent, its temperature is very low, which is also caused by the ice shards and snowflakes. When the gust hits the opponent, it will create numerous cuts on the opponent. The ice shards and snowflakes will begin to accumulate around his feet, burying them and preventing from moving.
Note: Usable three times per battle

Another set of simple ones, with the first essentially being an ice projectile, the second being multiple ice projectiles, and the third being dual animal ice projectiles. The dragons are cool though, as they can form a tornado.

(Hyouton: Aisu Ryu :Kyanon) - Ice Release: Ice Make Style : Ice Cannon)
Type: Offensive
Rank: A
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 30
Damage: 60
Description: After performing the "Ice Release Technique" to create snow to descend on the battle field the user will perform a string of four handeseals, then proceed to channel their chakra into the snow. The user will levitate a portion of the snow into there hands and, using shape manipulation, compact the snow into the shape of a launcher (bazooka). Next, the user will the channel their ice chakra once more into the bazooka to fire off a giant blast of ice and snow towards the target. The downside to this, however, is that the projectile follows a linear trajectory. This technique can be used without "Ice Release Technique", but only if snow is already present in the area.

Note: Useable twice per battle.

( Hyōton: Mangehyō ) - Ice Release: Mangehyo
Type: Offensive
Rank: A
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra: 30
Damage: 60
Description: The user unleashes a barrage of ice darts. The intensity of the cold is so great, that should a person attempt to block them, it will cause severe damage to the said limb.

(Hyouton: Sōryū Bōfūsetsu) Ice Release: Twin Dragon Blizzard
Type: Offensive
Rank: S
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 40
Damage: 80
Description: This is an advanced version of “Ice Release: Black Dragon Blizzard,” in which the user makes two of these dragons instead of one. The two dragons then swirl upwards and converge into a massive tornado.

Idk if this is worth, like its just shooting ice effectively in a straight line? like am i missing something here, is it not similar to standard greater ice release tech?

( Hyōton: Mangehyō ) - Ice Release: Mangehyo
Ice Needles but A rank. easy and nice. though i spose you could like make them massive if you want

(Hyouton: Sōryū Bōfūsetsu) Ice Release: Twin Dragon Blizzard
I do like this tech. add yang sentience and you got two S rank snow dragons

Yeah pretty much similar to the basic. Bout to crash, so we’ll do Ice mirrors last. For now let’s do these three. First is simple enough, second is cool to create familiars with a nice secondary effect. Third is a suicide freeze pact, shame it takes that much time to take effect, although would be cool for some LM - large scale effects story wise

(Hyouton: Mizu Gyouko no Jutsu) - Ice Release: Water Freezing Jutsu
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 40
Damage: N/A
Description: The user will perform one hand seal and then focus his wind chakra into a water source or jutsu, cooling it until it becomes ice.
Note: Can only be used three times per battle.
Note: Courtesy of Haku Yuki

(Hyoton: San-sa no Dōbu~tsuen) - Ice Release: Sansa's Menagerie
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 40 (-10 per turn)
Damage: 80
Description: Inspired by the animal themed jutsu of the Hidden Snow Ice Users, Skaldi's Menagerie is a technique used to combine a strong offense with environment altering affects. The user forms a set of four hand seals and focuses their ice chakra into the area directly in front of them, causing an animal of the user's choosing to appear. The animal exists as a perfect ice replica of its breathing counterpart, and is condensed with a great deal of ice chakra. The animal acts as a conduit for the jutsu's secondary effect: a large patch of ice (encompasses short range on all sides) is left on everything touched by the animal. As a result, the animal is quite dangerous to the touch and is capable of leaving a patch of ice in its wake to further assist the user. The user will be able to control the animal mentally, and as such can give commands to do things like charging the enemy or spread ice around the battlefield.
Note: Whilst active, the user is only able to use two jutsu per turn (and limited to Ice Release).
Note: Lasts a maximum of three turns and is usable twice, with a three turn cooldown.
Note: Courtesy of Inch

(Hyouton: Khione no Saikuron) Ice Release: Khione's Cyclone
Type: Attack
Rank: Forbidden
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 50
Damage: N/A
Description: After the user performs a string of 15 handseals and releases a massive amount of hyouton chakra around the battlefield, he creates a massive tornado all around it, with a radius up to 50m. The tornado consists of nothing more than a massive wind current and snow. The wind carries the snow in a cyclic motion at very high speeds, which makes the snow act as a wall/barrier around the battlefield, cold enough to freeze anything that passes through it. Due to the rotation speed and the basic principle of hot-cold air, everything within it freezes in the 4th turn after using the jutsu. As the tornado spins around the battlefield, hot air moves upwards while the cold air stays low, near the ground, freezing anything caught within it, including the user. The same way the snow acts as a heat insulator when forming around the battlefield, the user can use it to protect himself against this technique. After the 4th turn, and freezing of the battlefield occurs, the cyclone vanishes. While performing this technique, the user must stay steady.
Note: While this jutsu is in use, the user can perform only 2 techniques per turn for the next 4 turns, due to the massive amount of chakra being released
Note: Only up to and including S ranked techniques on next 4 turns
Note: No ice jutsus same turn
Note: Usable only once per battle
Note: User can perform only water, wind and ice techniques while using this technique

appreciate it, thanks for the quick training. will recommend, 10/10 sensei training

(Hyouton: Mizu Gyouko no Jutsu) - Ice Release: Water Freezing Jutsu
basically converting any water 40 chakra or below to ice. i guess works on water CEs as well.

(Hyoton: San-sa no Dōbu~tsuen) - Ice Release: Sansa's Menagerie
MMM i guess a strong way to create Ice around the environment instead of just having to wait 2/3 turns. Though limiting to two techs a turn as well as just ice. I guess maybe use first turn to start things off while opponent rampts up.

Hyouton: Khione no Saikuron) Ice Release: Khione's Cyclone
15 handseals, which again I think ever handseal should like reduce the speed of a tech by 1 or .5 or something. then again everyone is basically kakashi with their handseals.F rank tornado of ice, freezing everything 50 chakra or below on 4th turn. Bit of a weird tech but I guess at least its an F rank tornado of ice tech. lot of restrictions on it.

Yeah, bit of an oldie custom, as for hand seal and speed it's so-so to me, since there isn't that much of a speed based framework for when techniques are performed, at least something to the level of the speed update they got.

Alright, the classic duo, analyze em and lmk what some questions you might have on them.

(Hyouton: Makyō Hyōshō) Ice Release: Demonic Ice Crystal Mirrors
Type: Offensive
Rank: S
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 40 (+10 extra per turn, excluding the first turn)
Damage: 80
Description: The user will make a dome of 21 ice mirrors surround the opponent. Twelve are at ground level, eight are above the first twelve and placed at an angle so that they face slightly downward, and the last one is place directly at the top and center of the dome, facing directly down to the ground. The user can move at extremely high speeds that only the Sharingan can keep up with and manage to dodge while in this dome. The user can freely leap in and out of the mirrors as they wish and move to the other mirrors if one is destroyed, but the jutsu requires so much chakra to maintain that the users movements become progressively slower the longer they hold it (after three turns have passed a normal ninja can keep up with it for the most part) and they cannot perform jutsu while using this. When the jutsu is first starting, though, the user can move so quickly that it looks as though they are in, and attacking from, all 21 mirrors simultaneously. This jutsu was very resistant to fire jutsu, and can only be melted by fire of its own rank or greater, and cannot be destroyed by wind or water alone (both would basically empower it) unless it is of forbidden rank. A single ice mirror (or any number less than the complete set of mirrors) can also be created that the user can use as a shield and go in and out of it through both sides.

(Hyouton: Makyō Hyō Satsu) Ice Release: Mirror Ice Murder
Type: Offensive
Rank: S
Range: Within the mirror array
Chakra: 40
Damage: 80
Description: The user will detonate all of the mirrors after using “Ice Release: Demonic Ice Crystal Mirrors” causing an enormous explosion, damaging all inside. Meanwhile, using the great speed granted to them by the jutsu, the user will leave the mirrors at the last second before they explode.
Note: Only usable while “Ice Release: Demonic Crystal Ice Mirrors” is active.
