Korra let me take over your training ^^ so pretty much what he posted tell me what you know about ice release
Ok, I'll write what I know first then go to narutowikia to get additional info if there's any info left..
Ice release was the first KG to be ever shown in the whole it was only used by Haku in the manga however there was some ninja from Yukigakure that can use ice release too, they appeared in the movie that I didn't watch. Ice chakra is formed when the user adjusts water chakra using wind chakra to cool it down under the freezing point. it can be used to either freeze a pre-existing water source or make ice out of thin air. Being simply frozen water, ice is strong against fire and rain (I think) and weak against scorch, earth, steel, and storm (I think)..
that's all I could remember now.. gotta check the wikia and the weakness/strengths thread and edit this post

Thats ok no need to edit, the only thing you forgot is lighting is strong to Ice aswell. I like to think of ice as a more useful version of earth as they share alot of similarities. Both are weak to lighting and strong to water, both can block a fire jutsu of equal rank and both are solids that can be used to manipulate the terrain. Main difference though is for most earth jutsu you need contact with the ground for ice however you can use it in mid air and create it out of thin air unlike earth. Now then onto the training.
Vegito is in the middle of doing one armed push ups counting outloud to himself: "100..." as Vegito see's the young girl approaching him he counts louder "2 trillion!, oh I didn't see you there!"
Vegito jumps up to his feet and taking a good look at the girl he realizes almost right away.
"You're also a Yuki I take it? But you're still a newbie. Then its a good thing you came to vegitos training camp, I'll show you why our kekki genkai is the best one out there!"
Vegito takes the girl to a frozen tundra.
"You're shaking right now but when I'm done with you, no cold tempature out there will be able to affect you!"
Vegito sits down and breathes slowly.
"Meditate like this, feel the cold air, the snow, the atmosphere. Do so until you no longer shiver become like ice."
Vegito stands up and walks away
" You must survive here in this cold for a month then I'll return!"

So describe your month in the tundra and how you learn to adapt to the cold

At the first few days Elie was unable to bear with the cold at all. Unable to even sleep from the cold, she tried to meditate in the frozen tundra to overcome the coldness around her. While meditating she started to think about the nature of the ice how its crystals are formed and their amazing microscopic artistic shapes. She started trying to combine her wind and water chakras together to help her overcome the cold. At first she wasn't able to even gather a sufficient amount of both chakra natures together at the same time let alone combine them. Day by day, she started thinking more and more about creating the ice chakra than the cold weather. At day 15, she was able to have enough amount of water and wind chakra both gathered inside her body at the same time and during the following week she started modifying the water chakra using the wind chakra to freeze it and creating Ice chakra inside of her body. Once she started to create ice chakra she felt less cold than before even if she was contemplating the weather itself and by the end of the month she was able to tolerate the weather of the frozen tundra even with naked body.

Hyouton: Shimogakure no Jutsu) - Ice Release: Hiding in Frost Technique

Description: The user after performing the rat hand seal covers the surrounding area in frost, creating a cold mist and drastically lowering the temperature of the surrounding area. Despite not as hindering as the hidden mist, the technique enables a ninja to more stealthy move and surprise his enemy who will be hindered by both the thin mist and the freezing temperature.
now explain two advantages and disadvantages of this jutsu and how you'd use it
Advantages:
-would be useful when fighting a bio used to hot weather like suna nin since they're not used to cold weather like an ice user is.
-has two effects.. creating a thin mist and lowering the temperature. Although thin, it will require a stronger wind jutsu to push away this mist than the regular kirigakure jutsu
Disadvantages:
-Requires a handseal
-The mist is not as thick as the regular mist jutsu.
I'll use this jutsu as the very first starting technique in the fight (if I was the one to start) to alter the terrain to my favour. I can use this technique with the regular hidden mist jutsu to overcome the thin mist disadvantage. After using this jutsu with or without the mist jutsu I can use silent homicide to silently kill my opponent or other jutsu than can attack from unexpected angles.

Alright now make a weapon out of ice release. A pillar beneath your feet and finally make it snow.
(Hyouton no Jutsu) Ice Release Technique

Description: The user can use this jutsu to make it begin to snow down on the terrain, or, much like the “Earth Style Technique” the user can make small pillars or shields of pre-existing ice or make it materialize. If this is used to make snow, then after 3 to 4 turns most of the terrain will be covered.
