I don't really mind, since boruto manga won't be a long ongoing series, true it was cooler back in the days when giant ass scrolls (like jiraiya's) were used, now we get some mini ass scrolls, but to me it does'nt really matter, since we won't watch it long enough for it to really affect the story, that's my own opinion though

I kinda like it because it gave somewhat of a "Legenda of Korra" feel in contrast with the "Last Airbender" feel of the Original and Shippuden...
It give part 3 its own style...
Plus it create the possibilities of new and interesting villains based around technology...

In all fairness though technology existed long enough for a city/village sprawling with
power lines and electric wire to get abandoned long enough for the city/village to end
up in poor condition.
