I honestly appreciate some of they work they do for characters to expand on them outside of the crap Kishimoto's give them. My favorite Naruto episode on a side character is still the confession episode based on the beautiful animation, choreography, and the music choice.

The anime does it better than the Manga sometimes. Hell look at Kakashi v. Obito.
