I've always been more a reader than a watcher, so I'd rather read the manga of a serie than just watch the anime. I consider the anime as some sort of nice extra to the serie *shrugs*
Plus I can better connect with the characters when I read about them, than when I watch them.

Yeah, I used to stick to the anime. I watched the anime up to about when Sasuke fought the kages in the land of iron.. Times felt better back then. It was so epic when Naruto fought pain. Stuff like that, I even watched the long ass fillers after the pain arc..I just did back then..Back then I couldn't understand reading a manga, I just couldn't get why people like to read something they could just watch on tv, with music and voice actors... That's like reading a manga or dbz.. I don't care who you are, you don't read dbz manga, you watch the shit, everybody watched dbz.

but after a while I read the manga, I read it where Tobi fought Konan, and back then I was reading the manga on YOUTUBE, come on now. then I would keep waiting for the new manga every week, for about a few months, I was wondering when I would see a new chapter, little did I know about this whole website where they release chapters each week. I finally seen a new chapter on youtube, that's when Kabuto first joined forces with Tobi, when Kabuto returned to the scene, and basically tobi just aquired the rinnegan. Then somehow I found this site. Ever since, I've read the manga and been hooked. The anime wasn't the same to me ever since.. I know revealing Tobi in the anime really won't be exciting, since we already know now.. This is why I believe...

The manga and the anime should run on the SAME exact episode, which I know, it can't be done, so don't bother saying that to me. But still tho, It just won't be exciting.

:shrug:I prefer the manga
Good for you pal, really.
True, but we're fuked up since we can't stop reading itxd
Yup, you and me, we're a bunch of junkies.
But spoilers, imagine someone spoiling Tobi's identity for you
I was never part of a forum before I started reading the manga, it would've stayed that way.
Depends on your taste do you regularly read or enjoy comics at all ?
As for me i love manga.Anime for me is more like dessert or an "extended cut"
Nope, just Naruto. I read it only to know more, actually I can't stop myself. :(

I am exactly the opposite of you in that regard.

Meh, I hate them, but they still cost a lot of money and hardwork, I would've watched em.
Yeah, I also wish I never read the manga.

Sucks to be us.

the Sora and Guren fillers were nice. Even the Six Tails fillers were kinda ok. It's lately that the fillers just feel too forced.

They can't just go on a break every few months, people have contracts with the company for extended periods, they have to get their money's worth out of the actors and designers, so they keep them working, also to make sure that they don't slip up while on vacation. Anime is serious business in Japan. Even though the fillers are lame most of the time, you should watch them just because of the sheer amount of hardwork that goes in making them. I still don't though..lol

sir, that's ok. but still we want story on the track. they should release fillers side by side along with main videos.

The thing I hate most about the anime, is when they try to connect the fillers to the actual story in some way. That pisses me off.

he he. I still think manga is lot better than videos. first I thought how could people read when it is interesting to watch but then I convinced that manga is more fun.

I can understand your pain op.

I started the manga after the pain arc in the anime, the fillers that followed and the fact my friends read the manga was, reason enough to start.
As an animator, I normally prefer the anime but after reading the manga, I'm now aware of any inconsistencies in art quality which has ruined the wow factor I used to have when watching the anime ( although they do the manga justice from time time which makes it even more epic XD)

I also read the manga to the naruto ost. I have a playlist consisting of all the osts and just skip through them on shuffle till I get the right track to match the scene. Since I can imagine the manga animated in my head and with the correct music playing I dont need the anime anymore.

Sounds like fun, I should try that, I do it already, but I meant the whole shuffle thing.

I wish the anime art would have stayed the same as the original Naruto, seems like they're slacking on that. The pace is much faster nowadays, it's unnecessary, and it's killing key moments. I hope they go back to the old ways.

The shocks and surprises that you get when you are watching the anime, and all your feelings in general, are enhanced ten fold rather than when you're reading words on a page.

Naruto is so god damn good, I couldn't wait to find out more about it, so I started looking, and eventually I found the manga. That's also when I learned that all anime come from a manga. Honestly didn't know that before.

Now I wish I never had. It's just not the same, now that I know what's about to happen, my reaction just won't be the same. And it's not like I can stop reading, I pride myself in having great self control and a strong will.

Heck, I smoked cigarettes and drank alcohol for 8 years straight, and then one day, about 6 months ago, I just dropped em like a bad habit(no pun intended). Not because I wanted to stop or I stopped liking them, but because I knew they were killing me. No gum, no patches, just stopped.

But I cannot stop reading Naruto, some self control :flaw:
We had to desperately find the manga because TV Tokyo was being absolutely positively ridiculous!

Remember all of that filler after Naruto and Sasuke fought at the Valley of the End?
It was a good 85 episodes of that crap. >_>

I knew what fillers were then, and I knew that's what they were since Naruto had already left with Jiraiya. I started on the manga sometime during Shippuden, when Tobi revealed himself as Madara in Amegakure.
