Not the same thread as the previous, just me attempting something, while trying not to make this all seem repetitive(good luck me (◕⌵◕)」).

Getting to the nitty-gritty:

When applying for becoming a moderator: does it matter that one has been banned before? Even if it was a long time ago? Or perhaps a short while ago wouldn't matter depending on the nature of the ban and the resulting conduct of the one banned?
I mean, I read this thread: , seeing how you started mod applications not too long ago.

For example: It tells of having to have good reputation, as related to conduct rather than rep points.
Does a ban affect this? I mean, you could have been banned before for breaking the rules by being foolish or whatnot causing the resulting ban to begin with, but there are different kinds of rule-breaking instances, no?

For example: Say someone was a reeeeaally mean person before, but turned into a nice one, would you take this into consideration and how??

TY beforehand!

Edit: Yes, I know about how several infraction points results in a ban, but does it still not affect the judgement?

Edit#2: Important notice to mods: If you're considering closing this thread as you think your reply would make for a sufficient answer to the question. PLEASE, I implore you, give me time to reply to that post, not closing the thread immediately afterwards, because I'm pretty sure I can argue for why you shouldn't in the first place. This thread being directed at those in charge of the mod applications in the first place, most likely being the administrators(or at least ultimately), and secondly towards you whom can give input.

No offence to those whom doesn't. No offence at all actually.

Not only do you have to meet the requirements to apply. That's just the beginning. They will mainly go for someone with a knowledge, maturity and trustworthy superior to most of the current NarutoBase members.

But you could always apply, as a way of gaining new experiences, and yes as Lawliet stated, niehter infractions nor ban could prevent you from becoming a Moderator, but I think it's a feat that counts heavily in their decision

Good, but does this mean that the global moderators are in charge of the applications??

Btw, thank you for the info~
No, the administrators have always and will always be the ones in charge of the applications.

As i mentioned before, warnings/infractions/bans may count against you in your app. Because obviously the admins are going to look at your infraction history. But this does not completely diminish your chances. There have been a number of members in the past who were modded (who had such a past) but they were mostly reformed or have learnt to behave.

I see, thank you. My argument is still solid in this case.

Mhm~ But I suppose I'm asking for how they, the admins, see and go about this, so I guess this thread will only have enough meat on it when and if they can answer.
Thanks anyway!

What more would you like to know?
Sorry for the wait! I just came back from having the longest conversation I've ever had with another member here, and it's still ongoing and interesting!xd

Let's see: I suppose I'd like to know their own take on applying members whom have been banned before and so on, which is a very personal matter and I'm afraid, their own.
Thank you anyway for helping!

That's nice.

Okay. Well i can help you with that by telling you this:
What makes you think that the admins are going to reveal their incredibly elaborate decision-making process to you? :)

Anyway, closed. And should an admin have the time to reveal all this info to you, they'll be sure to contact you directly.
