So you trust a trump presidency with the extreme far right having complete control of the house the Senate and supreme court. Trump has said in presidential election speech he wants to bring all Americans together, but his campaigns has been based on pandering to extreme far right and marginalizing huge segments of the population.

And how can you not see he's telling you guys what you want to hear like any other politican he just doesn't have to be pc about it since he isn't backed by anyone and really has nothing to lose. Also everything about him screams rich scumbag who doesn't give a fucc about you. Also do you not find trumps birther shit with Obama @$$holish in the least.

a) Other than cutting funds for Planned Parenthood, I am unsure what else a Republican dominated house and senate will try to accomplish. I hope they're responsible in the choices they make. The 'extreme right' always votes Republican anyway so I think anyone is who is 'extreme right' would've voted for any Republican candidate. The country actually became more divided under Obama. Trump capitalized on this current division.

b) If after two years in office Trump doesn't put into action the things he promised I have no issue in admitting I was duped. There is no way to tell if he can follow through with his promises yet.

What personally made you vote for him and what impact do you think it will have?

Clinton was the epitome of Washington corruption. I knew Trump was a wildcard, but I think he is more open minded than he wants us to know. I mentioned before that I am also pro 2nd amendment and I was afraid Clinton, among other things, suppress 2nd amendment rights. I hope he has a positive impact for the whole country. He has already proven that America is done with establishment politics so there's one impact already before he's been sworn into office.

Clinton would've worsened Russian relationships with the United States no doubt but I don't think she would've been so bold as to cause an incident leading to nuclear war with Russia. Despite common media rhetoric, it is highly unlikely (with the exception of North Korea) that any country will use a nuclear weapon ever again.

Do you think he'll bring about great and positive change to our precious country? Or do you believe he will bring about great destruction? I ask because he seemed very serious, composed and more mature than usual in his beautifully eloquent victory speech.

I wouldn't have voted for him if I didn't think he would bring positive change to the United States. I don't think progressives will be happy with the change but I don't think that the change will be as far right as people expect.

I also think that it will unfortunately get worse before it gets better, but not because of policies Trump will enact, but due to people's overreaction to his presidency. The media has very successfully misinformed a lot of people and tricked them into believing Trump is an evil racist.

1. Repealing and replacing Obamacare. The only good thing about Obamacare (Affordable Care Act) was that it protected people with pre existing conditions.

2. Bringing manufacturing back to the United States

3. Helping our veterans. No veteran should be homeless or die while waiting for medical care.

4. Law & Order. Law enforcement has been backed into a corner by the effect that political correctness has on them.

1) many people that couldn't normally get health insurance was able to find health coverage for him how about the many people who will be left uninsured due to this.

2) how will trump do that and will you be happy with how he does it even if it means giving tax breaks on the upper class and greater financial burden on mid to low class citizens.

3) first of all I got to say Republicans are the biggest hypocrites when it comes down to veteran treatment, but if this election forces them to change on this due to now being in full spotlight then I'm okay with it

I got to give you credit you've been completely respectful through this discussion and if you really believe trump truly has the best interest of the people at heart I can respect that. And let's hypothetically say overall people find a trump presidency to be a decent one and if that happens it's was only to be reelected and to strengthen his brand. But what I'm most confused with is how can people be blind to who trump is he shows time and time again he's not a good guy and is as is just a spoiled rich brat that's never grown up. For sure Hillary is corrupt like any politican but at least she has the sense to hide the fact.
