Sounds about right, OP.He is basically forcing Kabuto to change by replaying that recording over and over again in Kabuto's head.

Yeah, if Kabuto releases edo tensei, Itachi is gone. Then Sasuke has to kill Kabuto before he can use edo tensei again.

Also, anyone think it warps time like tsukuyomi? then Itachi loses his eye when it's finished. Or he might have a time limit like izanagi.

You guys should read the earlier pages of the thread before asking questions like this...
i suggested this theory, but no - its already been stated that it uses an eye - takes away one eyes light permanently.

your Tsukuyomi question has also been answered by the author of this post here

izanami is in the real world

no time lapse

izanagi changes reality into genjutsu
izanami changes genjutsu into reality

Amazin theory! Makes sense in every way you look at it... But what i dont get is how Kabuto actually got trapped in it?!

One thing i dont get...how did itachi put kabuto in a genjutsu to begin with?

izanami can affect the target outside their 5senses.. meaning, you can't avoid it even if you close your eyes. itachi already said that in the manga.

Well Kabuto got owned.... next

the only people who got owned was us the readers. U have any idea how long kishi will drag this out? lets hope kabuto and itachi do this repeat crap while we get shown tobi and madara.

Kabuto isnt in danger of dying, hell just replay this lame seriers of events until he can figure a way around the jutsu. Iznagi was beaten by sasuke and karin, both noobs so I dont think izanami is going be unbeatable. Kabuto is actually pretty smart with this sort of thing.

this theory is good, he must end the edo tensei.

but if i was itachi i diced for kabuto that he must end his life, that was the first i was think of, but then i remember that the edo just go one even if he dies.

why not both??

and sorry for my bad engelish

Sounds good to me. but i wonder, (giving u the benefit of the doubt) if kabuto decides not to end edo tensei and goes on with the loop, this is gonna kill some serious time and meanwhile, all the kage's and possibly every1 else are gonna meet their end on the hands of madara and tobi (he is strong too)!!

Cool theory, makes sense considering the whole chapter was a looped action no matter what decision Kabuto made. I hope next week will be the conclusion.

This is very plausible. There's something I don't understand with the whole Izanami thing. And that is the time. People are saying that it's happening in real time...but real time is easily affected by outside influences. What if somebody shows up to the battle? Or Kabuto summons Madara? Anyone new would change the whole dynamic. Would that break the loop? Also, if it were in real time, then Kabuto could wait it out, and let Madara take out the kages, and at least keep Itachi out of the war.

Or is the loop like Tsukiyomi, where the time stops, and the events are only a reality for the caster and the one under the jutsu? That would mean that it is not going on in real time. This would mean that waiting it out is impossible and pointless.

I think it's the first one, which means that Kabuto has the perfect counter to Izanami, which is to summon an edo to break the cycle. Thoughts?

This is what i think about izanami it put you in a loop with you enemy but only the move that the uchiha does(itachi) would be repeating. But kabuto can get out by just simply defeating itachi. Itachi is an edo unless he seal itachi he would be trap inside izanami. The other thing is because of it kabuto may need to turn off edo tensei to stop itachi since he cant get tired or anything but kabuto getting mentally tired.

But is not all that strong kabuto will get out of it easy but what i do believe is that this is Orochimaru time to take over

"izanagi changes reality into genjutsu
izanami changes genjutsu into reality"

That's not true. As Tobi stated while figthing against Konan, the full Izanagi turns both genjutsu in reality and viceversa, unlike Danzo's izanagi which was incomplete. IzanaMi is just a Tsukiyomi previously recorded and without eye-contact required.
